Appreciate your content and what you are working towards with the competitive scene of risk. Different game and personality but you remind me of T90Offical who covers Age of Empires 2 content. He has worked a long time on boosting the competitive scene with that game. I appreciate the welcoming and loving community people like y'all build around games. I think it does the world a good service to encourage these international communities built around having fun.

Hey Pete, I wanted to say thanks for all you have done to build the Risk community! I LOVE watching your videos, and my game has drastically improved from all your well-thought-out content. I also want to compliment you on all your logical and well-articulated views. I feel that when I watch your videos, I not only enjoy the Risk portion but also the laughs and the philosophical insights. I so appreciate your balanced and love-filled response to the religious question that you answered about the topic of original sin. I was hoping to add a little perspective to that conversation you had. I would love to get your feedback and point of view on it. You have a unique view that honestly, I have never heard before. You said in the video that you would never proselytize and so you may comment at times on what you believe but you will never try to convince someone to believe what you believe. You said that your beliefs are for you and no matter how they are received, it won't change them. You then made a very good point about how beliefs that need others to validate them are probably not well-founded beliefs that can stand on their own merit. I wanted to give you the Christian perspective on proselytization. I am a Baptist pastor, and I do share my faith with others. I have never tried to force anyone to accept anything, but my goal is to give people information that they might not have known or considered before so they can make the best decision for themselves. I am not seeking any validation from others on my faith, I am coming from the perspective of love. If the Bible is true, and there are eternal ramifications for my life, I would be extremely not loving to not share that information with others. In my mind, it would be the equivalent of me knowing that you had cancer, but never warning you about it. Me telling you about the cancer doesn't have anything to do with me validating my belief of cancer, for me it has everything to do with trying to get you help. Now I know that this is a hypothetical and that a lot of people don't accept the premise that the Bible is true, I'm simply trying to explain the motivation that causes Christians to "proselytize" fellow humans. I was hoping to get your feedback on this added perspective. Again, thanks for your time, and thanks for all the awesome videos! Good luck on your current tournament.
@TheKillPeteStrategy11 ай бұрын
I understand your point of view very well. You believe you have an offer of eternal salvation so you feel ethically obligated to help save others via that faith. This position is logically consistent. I think a big thing non believers misunderstand about people of faith is that once we accept the leap of faith everything else follows out very logically. I'm not here to save anyone. I view that as ultimately a position of arrogance. (as if I know better.) Rather I am eternally humble on the face of my understanding of the almighty. This is why I share my story openly but without the attempt to convince. Some of what I have to offer will be a benefit to some and other parts to others. That's always a win for me and a blessing that anyone would choose to listen to me speak.

I met Jessica Alba IRL. I was vacationing in LA and went to a taping of the Tonight Show with Jay Leno. I was sat in the front row and when she came on stage for her segment she was waving to the crowd. As she sat down we made eye contact for a second and I blew her a kiss with my hand and she smiled and waved looking directly at me. After her segment was over she walked to the front of the stage to shake hands with some of the guests in the front row during commercial break, me included. When she got to me I told her that she was my favorite celebrity, it was such an honor to meet her, and that I thought she was one of the most beautiful women to ever walk the earth. She said thank you, thats so sweet of you to say and kissed me on the cheek. You are so clearly spoken that I completely enjoy listening to topics that we may even disagree on. I do believe the view on biblical Christianity is not presented properly. Original sin leads to attempts to "jump through hoops" as you said, but Christianity says you cannot achieve justification on your own and it doesn't expect you to. It's the truest freedom to lead your life according to Jesus example. Christians following this example will not tell you about their beliefs to convince you for their benefit but for yours. If someone's soul was at stake, wouldn't it be the most loving thing to try and help them recognize that? Simply wanted to provide that perspective of what I have learned of a real biblical Christianity worldview. Unfortunately the word Christianity is applied to many things that are just missing the point
@dannyblunts131911 ай бұрын
@howarda1000 My main takeaway from the topic was that your personal beliefs are such because they are yours, rather than something that was introduced to you from an outside source. If your beliefs are harmonic with the universe, then there is no need for any justification aside from your own affirmation. It doesn’t beg a name, or a group of people who see things the same way, or a commission to influence others to “see the light”.
@howarda100011 ай бұрын
@@dannyblunts1319and I get it, but the problem there is the Christian worldview claims there is no other way to avoid eternity in despair and chaos other than following Jesus. So they don't aim to force you but beg you.

At several points, including 47:52, black hit Middle East with their India stack, and somehow managed to end the turn with that single attack, a single troop on Middle East, and a separate fortify in Europe. Idk if it’s a small method of cheating or just a bug though.
@vukasin232311 ай бұрын
He put the slider on only one troop 37% to win I think and then you can move only 1 troop
@nathijomac11 ай бұрын
Yeah, I've seen this in games before. Could it be a slider mechanic where you don't 100% the roll?
@TheKillPeteStrategy11 ай бұрын
He only committed a single die to the roll so was only forced to advance one troop into the territory.
@RealClintCapela11 ай бұрын
If you roll one troop, you can only send one if you wish, same for with a 2v1 roll having 2 or 3 options. Do note your odds aren't 100% as you would have seen that one time he lost 1 troop like 3 times doing it with a 5 stack so he could fortify a 3 to it. Decent if you want a card and want to fortify in the turn and don't care for a couple troops you know you will lose (losing 1 potentially from rolls plus 1 on territory better than the 3 you must leave on a normal blitz territory) that is only if fortify is vital for some large stack you have that round without a card from the stack you want to fortify. (Pete doesn't need that and so can leave 3s to send to his cap). Also good for allowing you to draw in those stray 3 territories that are locked and whatnot from bonus trade in. It's kind of try hard, but so is the slider system in general and that kind of tech does introduce a skill component to the game that isn't really skill, but more knowledge of game mechanics, but still is I guess. Sorry for the rambing and hope it helps.

Just found your content. I've never played risk, but enjoying it so far! This is my first progressive capitals video and it seems way too "random" - the only way it seemed like the stalemate could get broken is if players suicided (like happened a lot here), which seems to mean that the player who suicides determines the winner. I understand the card blocking strategy, but given the game went for 2+ hours it seems like that was too slow to really make a difference. Is it always like that even with good players, or was this game an anomaly?

They really need to switch to a point system where 1st,2nd and 3rd get points. Also to slow down the team/collusion/collaboration they should add a team mode or alliance mode with fukl chat. Where its still a free for all but you can trade territories with your allies rather than attack them (also coukd help equalize troop totals or you coukd build basicly a 2-3 player juggernaut which would be interesting, im sure 1 woukd be better than the other but idk) and then if only people in your alliance are still alive you can have an option to split the points or fight it out. Tho with a 3,2,1 structure it would almost always be better to take the split. I think it woukd make things much more competitive and make peoples stats more accurately reflect their skill in the game with a benefit to playing more games rather than just hustling noobs with 2on 1 bully tactics.

Even Online poker... for real "hypothetical" money has options for people to chop/split the win, pay multiple places(more than 6 people to start) to vote and agree on whondeserves what % of the pay out. And theres tons of game modes of different styles that you can get people in to. As sad as it is they should make it balanced, still basicly free to play but allow people to put money behind it but keep it fair. When theres money behind it the top players make money and the money supports thebchange money talks. They really need to get collusion or collaboration under control... or allow for game modes that factor collusion and collaboration in and balance/negate it. The game itself is good butin some ways its too accessable to be as good as it can be. And in some ways its not accessible and enticing enough to get the push behind it. Theyre nunbers guys. Im not. They shoukd be able to figure it out. Playing for points instead of just only 1 person wins would help alot. Even most of the old card games i game is really just 1 hand and youre palying multiple instances against the same opponent to see who pulls agead in the long run. The scoring usually reflects this.

honedtly i dont really think white and orange were teaming, i can see a world in which they are just both bad players. i feel like if they were teaming they would've played differently

If youre born with the option to sin, your gonna try it a little bit. People statistically are inherently evil. But morality is a human construct. Right and wrong is subjective... even if there are some things most everyone agrees is wrong, even the people that do those things know the shits wrong.

Yes, after the initial leap of faith everything falls in a logical order for the religious person. The problem with that is that the initial leap of faith is irrational. Oh well.

I'm not justifying faith. I'm explaining why we see so much irrational behaviour

Cant believe adriana lina didnt get thrown in the mix. All time, overall top 10 right there. Allysa milano theres just something about her. But jennifer conelly is my #1 all time ever. Of bitches i dont know. Theres still 1 or 2 girls i actually know woukd be hard to beat at best if not unbeatable

I watch most of your content and I can say with certainty, this one was far and away the most boring match in my memory. Whites shenanigans were about the only spice! Big fan of your work, and everything you do for the community, but an even bigger fan of using your platform to promote positivity. I’m gonna go out on a limb that you are familiar with some Bill Hicks stand up. 🤠 Much love and appreciation, my dude!

Love bill Hicks! He's underrated. Also as a weird coincidence I'm typing this comment from a Tool concert.

@TheKillPeteStrategy I’m jealous, but happy for you! I don’t see them touring for much longer. Was lucky enough to catch them on the 10,000 days tour at Red Rocks! 🤘🏼

nice game but wheres the cheaters? (also some funny timing was playing classic prog wd and had 2 spain players go 3rd and 4th in turn order got hit by them both turn 1 then the player in the 3rd turn order fed me to the 4th during turn 9 when i was on 3 cards) fun times.
