This is the best Jam I have ever heard, the band was on fire that night and BB and Gary are playing on the top of their game on this one!

Gary was great with his intense solos and phrasing. He came out of Skid Row and Thin Lizzy (the Irish Skid row, founded 1967, blues-rock not the later American metal band. In 1987 on tour Moore heard the film actor Steven Segal playing blues guitar in a bar in San Francisco bar two weeks before production on his first film Above the Law. Moore (who also studied Aikido for a few years and knew Segal) was inspired by Segal's traditional Chicago style playing to release the 1990 album Still Got the Blues, which saw him returning to his blues roots and collaborating with the likes of Albert King, Albert Collins and George Harrison. Segal was to play on the album but production had begun on his second film 'Hard to Kill'. Moore made an appearance and with a guitar case as an extra on Segals' 1994 film On Deadly Ground. The two jammed in Moores hotel room which Segal recorded it on cassette, playing Stormy Monday and other songs

Gary's 1 6 2 5 1 changes in the old Guitar Techniques were next level. He was and is mastery. Sadly I "only" saw him with Thin Lizzy...😂😇

A wonderful example of both outstanding guitar playing & solid showmanship As a fan of Gary’s jazz-fusion & metal output, I look at his blues years with some reluctance. For such a talented writer and player it seemed a step backwards But it was his choice, for personal or financial reasons, and it still gave us standards like Still Got The Blues For You ❤

Outstanding Performance. The Sweet Blues of B.B. King with the Shred Blues of Gary Moore. For anyone that's interested check out, You've Done Lost Your Good Thing Now from B.B. King's My Kind Of Blues. In my humble opinion, it's B.B. King at his Sweet Blues Best. For more Shred Blues, Still Got The Blues Gary Moore, Red House Yngwie Malmsteen, EMG Pickup Demo over Andy James backing track Zakk Wylde, and Opening Solo on The Electro Lesson Instructional Video Doug Aldrich. Thanks.

Glad you gave attention to Gary Moore; I think he was much more versatile and melodic than his 80s rival Eddie Van Halen (who I am also a big fan of, btw!)

i don't remember gary's tone being that good. pretty nice.
@mariek6993 Жыл бұрын
as he got older, his tone seemed to mellow some... he always roared, but it matured mellowed. a shame he passed away. bad for you baby was a great album where you can hear all those years and all that knowledge gel into an enormously well rounded mature musician.
