There is a huge difference between ''being alone' and 'being lonely'. I can be alone and feel at peace - and I can also be surrounded by people and still feel lonely. There's nothing wrong with being alone. But real loneliness can be harmful in the long run.

I’ve only got one friend and she’s always busy, I have seen her in about two weeks. When she’s there, she’s not there for very long. I also have independent study and stay home everyday except Monday to go take my test. Then I go home. But at some point, people get used to loneliness. And it doesn’t really affect them anymore. Not unless they’re reminded of how alone they really are.
