Hey Biffa, some nice little tricks you might not know yet: 1. You can move things even outside the tiles you have bought with "Move it". Would have helped in 9:38 2. When you want to delete some roads without destroying nearby houses, just keep clicking and holding the left mouse button and keep hovering over the streets you want to get rid of. Even if you hover over houses they will not be deleted! This works the other way around also. Want to delete houses without destroying the roads, press left click and hold it and hover over these houses. Roads will not be destroyed if you keep holding the left mouse button :) You are doing a great job btw. Am watching your shows since years! Keep on like that! :)

When you alternate the roads to eliminate often junctions, don't forget to put the pedestrian paths at the end of these dead-end roads that do not reach the main streets. That way even if the vehicles have to have a longer routes, pedestrians do not suffer from the path of travel.

As a Chicago native, I can tell you that you absolutely want bypass highways. Chicago and is the freight hub of the US and the region gets just STUPID amounts of traffic in, out, and within, and around. It's enough that besides the city/suburbs looking like half of a orb spider web, we've got _several_ highways nearby whose primary job is to facilitate avoiding the actual city itself.

It baffles me that people don't think of the possibility that traffic will simply pass through someone's city on a highway to get through to the other side. That would be the MAIN purpose of a freeway crossing a real city unless maybe it's the main city in the whole region.
@XxMMXIIxX3 жыл бұрын

Hey Biffa, FYI if you use touch it on the cargo station track that you set up the one way system you can actually swap it to dual one way track for double cargo logistics.
@lrg1623 жыл бұрын
Using underground roads running between your industrial areas and commercial areas, creating a "back door" between them can vastly improve traffic flow - particularly if you use TMPE and set restrictions on the roads - No private cars for "industrial" roads, and no trucks for "residential" roads. Checking and changing speed limits on roads can also hugely change traffic flow - cims will prefer to use a faster road, even it's "technically" longer, so you can alter traffic routes without changing road types or adding new roads. Using Bus Only roads can hugely increase city service efficiency and range, particularly if you use TMPE to set the restrictions.
@thesheq50233 жыл бұрын
18:50 you should make the trains two lane one way into the cargo station and use tmpe to stop them from switching. It’s rail mathematics haha

That is like the city I am doing, it has 2 highways, but it has 1 connection, I connect one via nation road 4 lane, everyone uses that to by pass one side of map to another. When I bought the squares, I make a bypass freeway over the bay and a loop to the other side, and everyone bypassed my city, my traffic cleared nicely. And make it tough the rail connection is only 2 and it goes to an abandon lumber site,
