There went the eletrical wire
@TimothyWmYoung11 ай бұрын
That was my absolute, very first thought as I was watching him trying to break off that overhang. So, what's the take away?? It was my thought that he was trying to get all the snow to begin coming down off the top of his roof. That didn't happen. So, then I thought that maybe it didn't slide off because it was still attached to the other side of the roof at the roof apex. Then I thought that he would have to be up on top of the roof, anyway, with some sort of cutting tool, slicing, hacking (machete), his way through to the roof itself, and then record his video as we could have seen the roof clear, all at one time. But without regard, that looked pretty dangerous to me! I wonder if he was surprised to see his wire disappear!? I wonder what utilities he lost??

This is Norway. And this is what we have to do sometimes. The snow can pile up so heavy it can brake the roof. Edit ; the wire is most likely not a electrical or internet cable... We have other solutions... Wirers are from a long gone century. Idk anyone who use wirers anymore so people talking about the old stump of wire....nah. The salvation is to not get damage to roof, or even brake. And there is nothing lost in this clip its a clean win .

The lesson would be to not let the snow acumulate and harden this way. Better clean it gradually if possible. Especially if you are in a campervan. Leave that place for safer areas and take shelter or seek the closest road so that road workers can help if necessary. It might be safer this way. Am I correct?

Leaving those huge blocks of snow or ice on the roof is dangerous because it is very heavy and could damage the house or fall on someone. That's why some cottages are made with very steep roofs that sometimes reach the ground,so that snow and ice can slide right down
