I’ve always found that even when things don’t work out as planned on a hike or canoe trip, it’s still better than being stuck indoors. Some of the most interesting things I’ve discovered have been when I took a wrong turn on the trail.

I was intrigued to see the high level lakes Bjorn. We have similar in the Lake District here in the UK so just out of interest I thought I'd check out the Norwegian word for tarn. Unsurprisingly it is the same word. After all your ancestors are also part of our history. We have mountain names in the North of England such as Swarth Fell & Wild Boar Fell. We also have streams called becks. The influence in the British landscape is manifest, including Swansea in Wales, named after Swayne's Sea (Swayne Forkbeard) & the old name for York, Jorvik. I'm happy that we share some heritage. Skol !

Nice video. Glad to hear you had a family outing. Sorry you were not feeling well. Migraines are awful. It was so nice to just be out in nature not worrying about the depressing things happening worldwide. It is very hard to rest my mind. I cannot sleep very long, and if I wake up, even an hour after falling asleep I am wide awake and my thoughts just run crazy about everything. My husband and I live in the mountains of Southern Colorado with beautiful views on 35 acres of woods. Town is 25 miles away, and it's a small town. Thank you for sharing your journeys, I enjoy them very much. It helps to distract my mind from the negativity of hopelessness of what is happening to our country. I appreciate how you always remain stoic and positive, even when things don’t go as planned. When you do complain, you say something positive before and/or afterwards. In your adventures in Mother Nature, you keep things balanced (not just the camera). In your adventures in human nature, you never stray too far from being positive. That scenery is just beautiful. I love how, in most of your videos, there is a visually distinct feeling of being at a summit; often, the view stretches far and wide - and from a relatively flat vantage point. In Colorado, it takes climbing to elevations halfway (or more) to the highest elevations on Earth: in order to achieve relatively flat ground mixed with a surrounding distant horizon. What a fascinating area in this particular video!

You are a true nature lover. It was no disappointment, that you went back, because you didnt want to disturb wild life, especially the bird season, where they have small ones. That shows your beautyful spirit , your true connection to nature. Its a shame, that too less guys think like that, but so important. we are all part of nature, and we are also " guests" there - and should leave the Camp places, where we stay, minimum as clean, as they were, maybe also take some rubbish with us home, which some stupid idiots left there - i also do this, when i am walking in my local nature. Hei Bjørn. Great video. I know this lake where you are very well, its a wonderful place. Just a little tip, maybe you know, but if you paddle a little further south and east you will find several more islands to set up camp, and with fewer seagulls. That place you are are almost the center of the seagull colony. A little bit further south are very few seagull nests, but there is a fish eagle nest on one of the small islands, so just keep some distance to that, and you`ll find some great places. (And also with fewer people:))

Sorry to hear that you had another migraine, but it was a nice video anyway (is the drone like a mini helicopter, I wonder)? I have not been to many mountainous areas. A week long trip in Wales when I was at school, and yes you can feel the reduction in oxygen the higher you go (we were on established trails). I have also been to Scotland twice for the Edinburgh Festival and the scenery as you leave England just gets higher and higher. I bought a local map while there and went looking for a large park but couldn't find it. Then I realised that the 'park' was actually more like the flat top mountain from Close Encounters of the Third Kind! PS, apparently cabin fever happened more often to people who were snowed in on mountains than the plains. They would just go crazy sometimes and walk out never to be seen again. Also, as a Pagan I am sure you are aware that in places like Nepal mountains are revered as temperamental Goddesses. Safe travels.

Most anyone which has been in the wilds knows that if you scare off birds and walk past them that the birds will ALWAYS come right back to their nests again. And yes, when it is summer the waters have evaporated, and the water table is lower. Why is it that your mind wanders so much, and you repeat your words over and over like you do not think that we heard you the first time. Get a grip on yourself man - what is going on with you? How can anyone write so many novels but then in real life keep repeating himself over and over so many times. You are better than this.
