I also my first OLED LG C1 OLED 55 inch for the $1500 with two year warranty. The Q800 has some really band banding and DSE, which I found out is normal. 4K movies you can’t really see but I know it’s there. I’ve ran all the 4k and 8k demo videos and they are pretty good without seeing the banding and DSE. The LG C1 blacks and contrast are perfect but it’s not as bright and it’s smaller. Should I return both and wait for QD-OLED. Or return both and get C1 77”. Or return the LG C1 55” and keep the Samsung Q800 75” since I got a killer deal on it. Thanks for any advice.

Great info FOMO! I usually start my research around September or october, I check what tvs have good reviews online and youtube. I narrow it down to 2-4 tvs and i walk into Best Buy to look at them in person and look at the picture quality. And find the one i like most. Once i go home, i scavenge Reddit, youtube and AVS forums if there's any calibration settings that i can get for free (so much better than paying best buy to calibrate and i always want a good calibrated tv) when I'm set on a specific model, i wait until Black friday. I got a LG cx oled for $1849.00 and good thing I checked LG's website and it turns out that they had a rebate if purchase a specific model during black friday. Just got my Samsung 90T fomo :). I didn’t expect to get burn in on my CX after not even a month of gaming on it. Do you think I should of just waited for the new QN90A instead of pulling the trigger on my 65” 90T? I just want a tv that will last 4-5 years and not have to worry about spending 3300$ after Ext warranty on another. And does anyone know of any 4K@120FPS HDMI switchers so I can have my Xbox Series X and PS5 doing the 4K/120fps?
@ZackSNetwork3 жыл бұрын
You should have waited definitely. I would return it if I were you. The QN90A will be brighter, 12bit, free sync premium pro, more color and color accuracy as well as 8k. Along with better 4K 120hz support. The Q90T was a worse version of the Q90R by having less dimming zones.
@Scott-cy6zv3 жыл бұрын
@@ZackSNetwork it’s the only option the store gave me man as my LG CX within a month got burn in from playing Red Dead Redemption 2. The HUD in bottom left hand corner burned in. So they gave me the exchange for equivalent price of what I spent on CX. So I’m not sure if they would take it back Zac :(.

@@RS-qo1mx Do you think Samsung will push free sync Premium pro in a update so we get better VRR? I just want a tv that’s gonna last and do the gaming on Xbox and PS5 that I want it too. It took me a while to save for my CX and got no time outta that. So the store said the 90T is the way to go for gaming. I do have it and it’s brighter but you hear all this stuff about the new Qleds for 2021 we get kicked to the curb on gaming features we should have after just spending 3600$ now on a tv? My 90T was 2899$ at 13% tax and 489$ for Ext warranty. So I’m praying I don’t got a tv that’s gonna be left in the dust is all. I wish I knew more about TVs guys, but I don’t. But prices often do not come down the month before?
@Tential13 жыл бұрын
@@stopthefomo if there is a slick deal on a TV or anything leading up to Black Friday, it almost never Falls below that price. The LG CX hit it its low before Black Friday(November 2, October 28)my biggest experience with this was hard drives. 3 years in a row I saw good deals the month before and waited for Black Friday and got to pay a couple dollars extra because I tried to hold out. I think of September / October as the retailers trying to get the most price Hawk consumers possible with discounts, and then in November for Black Friday you may see that same deal occur again, or one that is one to 5% above that price. The Vizio oled did similar. An early sale, then revisited on black Friday for shorter.
@Tential13 жыл бұрын
@C Preacher a long time ago when I was a young man with my first job in retail sales, I remember spending the whole night having to mark up everything in the store for Black Friday because we were giving out coupons that would lower the prices back down. It was still technically going to be a higher price but the huge discount number was going to be the highly appealing to any customer. It was a great time for employees though because we had multiple perks at stacked along with the regular ongoing sale. I like the business and technology of products more than I actually liked the products themselves

Thank you so much for this. I am finally putting my 55 inch LG 3D television aside and getting a 80+ flagship television. I'm way overdue. I've been making periodic trips to Best Buy to see if prices drop, but they haven't. I've heard that the spring time is when the newer models come out, so I guess I can wait until then. I just hope this money doesn't burn a hole in my pocket before then.

Good Video!, What about the Flagship to Flagship this year 2021? The jump looks big this year with QNED. In the UK all the TV’s are price fixed. I found most deal days are based on inventory, resellers only discount what they need to shift volume. I found you have to take your time and keep a very close eye on all the main sellers. I noticed this week Samsung dropped the flagships by 1000 pounds this week. I did get a good Black Friday deal on My Sonos Arc but I have to wait till late February for delivery.
