I am just a hobbyist and I change all 6 strings at one time. I enjoyed your video because I learn something every time I watch a video about guitars. Thank you Chris.

I change basses every two weeks. I change trebles once a month. I'm not a good guitar player but, I'm damn well going to enjoy new strings!

Yes. New basses have a HUGE impact on the sound of a classical guitar (particularly the D string). I don’t think new trebles have quite the same effect on the sound quality as the basses, until the trebles become difficult to get a decent vibrato.

Thank you so much! Btw: I keep trying different strings cause: how would one know...yet, I keep coming back to D'Addario normal tension. Totally understand it's very subjective. Anyway, absolutely appreciate this video. Lots of good and interesting information.

I just restrung my cheap steel strung acoustic with classical strings. Is it still dangerous to take off all the strings and put on new strings. The guitar is a sturdy little thing despite it's price.
