Usually cholesterol plaques cannot be dissolved with medicine. If blockage percentage is less, blood thinners and anti cholesterol agents can be tried. But if high, stenting/surgery maybe only option.

It is but usually it's done with 6-24 hours of stroke onset. 99.9% not done if more than 24 hours over since onset of symptoms

My father had CABG in 2010 tripple bypass.. That time Carotid blocakge L - 30 Pct R - 60 Pct MRA nect was repeated in 2017. Left carotid was reported normal. Rigt carotid was reported with same percentage and remarks mild blockage at carotid bulb. In 2023 he 4 episdes of blurness in eyes less than minute , please note no blackout ...only blurrness.. MRI neck angio suggestes major blockage in lest internal carotid... 1. Doctors are suggesting DSA. 2. Need to undertsnd how is ot possible of this blockage was so huge it was not observed in 2017 MRA ? 3. In cirrent study they are reporting right carotid to be normal, whereas 2017 it was reported as mild... 4. However neuro surg. Are silently saying symptoms it does not seems to be progessing as stroke Its all confusing, please suggest

Hi. See. 1ST of all - YT comment section isn't appropriate platform for medical opinion. See - MRI angio is usually a TOF physics based imaging. And can miss or exaggerate blockages. There are better investigations - angiography being one of them.

Maybe technical difficulty or sometimes it's commonly hypoplastic. Meaning genetically weak. It's normal 99% of the times. But let your neurologist decide.
