Yea come to Barbados good swells august to february sometimes March.. north swells hit and lots of breaks no one even looks at but when it gets like 1.5m -2m at soup bowl it’s a right barrel fest, any north swell over 1.1m bowl starts to do this thing. South coast had endless breaks to butt not as consistent but has amazing waves like South Point, Freights for beginners and drill hall which are all long lefts. On certain swells the beginner wave freights is the wave of choice as it turns into a freight train running barrel but you can only take off on shoulder and get the end as it runs really fast… north north west swells also light Up the west coast with super nice blue turquoise water and can pack a punch over shallow reef sections and massive can offer a really steap or mellow drop depending on the wave.. batts rock, Mullins or a long right hand point break like maycocks.. if you like paddling you can hit up duppies but don’t look down 😂

Best waves for east coast of US is between DEC-mid April. June-NOV is hurricane or tropical cyclone surf time So we only get waves before/after storms

Best time to go is May-Aug but also the busiest. Try and plan when it isn’t school holiday’s and when the WSL circus isn’t in town. Fly into Cape Town and drive up on the N2 about an 8 hr trip but from Mossel Bay you will score some epic point break set ups. Enjoy!
