That is interesting. Iwata technical support stated that the needle and nozzle don't need to be replaced as a set, unless there is damage to both.

Since the two parts tend to "marry" and wear together, just changing one of them creates a misfit when there is an old and new part. It's interesting though, I'm not sure why IWATA takes their position

@@Cerakote Easy way to find out. Take a few LPH80's, and swap needles around(but keep the usual nozzles on the 80's). Do any issues arise? If not, the "marry" issue may be very insignificant. Pin gauging old nozzles to see if they have opened up over time may be another thing to track. Gauge when new, and then every few months.
