I built an entire deck of pure trash and picked hunter, with the explicit goal of hitting the 2 damage button 15 times to win. Then i got matched against a thief priest and it was actually hillarious because the strongest card in both decks was that 4 mana 2/6 taunt dragon that steals a card from the opponent hand. We both looked like absolute idiots for a while but it was really super fun.

Half and Half is my favorite Brawl, but for future reference - Hero Power decks, like Wildfire Mage and Weapon Rogue, are absolutely jabait here. Dredge Druid with Faelin and the Wild ramp package is really fun with an OG Finley to beat the crap out of Hero Power decks. You haven't lived until Poison Rogue concedes because you've made a 9/4 Sphere of Sapience or played Reckless Apprentice into a full board with a Wildfire powered Steady Shot and watched it all slam face.

Even better: put Maestra and 14 neutral cards. Your opponent will probably be utterly confused as to why their class is changed. The best part is if they don't draw Maestra, they can never switch back, thus disabling their potential synergies with the hero power.

@@KrivitskyM it's a lot easier to just run OG Finley and the dude that swaps Hero Powers for a turn. Even without the swap, you have a decent chance to mow them down first because they weren't expecting you to bring an OG Finley

The brawl was basically: (A) Corpses forced people to play Lich King which ended up being a self-fulfilling prophecy (B) Rogue used all the weapon buffs. When I queued, it was only those two decks. I never saw another class or idea. Boring AF.

Right now, the druid class has no more flavor in my opinion. It can play control/aggro/tokken/midrange, use armor, extra mana, board removal, board filler or big minion/spell. That's a bit sad in my opinion and i hope that future set will focus on giving druid a real identity because right now it's like a mix of a lot of classes

Idk it was funny at first, but some people make really fun and cool halves of their decks, and I don't want to miss out on getting to actually see them in action because I wanted to Nozdormu troll. Most people who brought actual interesting ideas just concede when they see that and all I get to find out of what was in there was whatever's in my opening hand.

@@amberlee4536 Yes, it happened to me too, I made a deck to build Voltron and the animation almost lost me all my time. A priest I faced had a very interesting thief deck and lost because of time. The adrenaline is cool at first but it's sad not to see all the madness that would be possible in the tavern because of the rope

@@kelvinguimaraes8683 you should try out the deck I ended up playing for the entire week it was there last time, it's the one that convinced me that Nozdormu is the biggest BM for Half and Half besides Death Knight. Play Druid, put Guff, Sphere, Twig, Faelin, Azshara, Brann, both Finleys, Tuskarr Trawler, Moonlit Guidance, Aquatic Form, and one copy of Youthful Brewmaster. Stall for time until you and your opponent both have about twelve Colossals in hand and deck, then begin having a giant kaiju battle :) most people will play nice once they realize it's a fun treasure hunt to see what's in the box. Original Finley is there both to tech against Hero Power decks and give you a chance to get draw or healing if you need it.
