Keep in mind that Sheldon's Picks and Splatfest PBs were added to Splatoon 2 *after* they had announced end of features. When S2 first came out, they said we'd get 1 year of added maps/weapons/features and 2 years of Splatfests. After the first year, they announced a 6-month extension to maps/weapons/features. Last regular map (Skipper Pavilion) was Oct 2018. Last Salmon Run map (Ark Polaris) was Nov 2018. Second round of Kensas were Dec 2018. At that point we thought that was going to be it, until in April 2019, Sheldon's Picks dropped out of nowhere, and at E3, they announced Splatfest PBs would be available after FinalFest. So... never say never.

The thing is that splatoon 3 is all about tripling things right? The tri color the three splat fest teams the three idols so the dumb thing is why don’t they just add third kits it can’t be THAT hard to do so I mean they made second kits for the new weapons (decav and well) right when they came out it’s so stupid that they did all this tripling just to not make third kits 🙄

It isn't as easy as you think, since they'd have to balance them and if they wanna do it for any new weapons that haven't had a 3rd kit previously make new models and design concepts ect, especially since Sheldon's Picks in Splatoon 1and the Kensa line weapons in Splatoon 2 were more unique then just a reskin, like the Kensa one's were themed all around but still. But objectively it feels dumb that we aren't getting 3rd kits because of the whole 3 motif and the fact that both prior games had them

Such a shame not seeing the N-ZAP ‘83 or the Aerospray PG. of course you never know but I am in agreement we won’t see third kits. I don’t know when these special weapons were added in the lifespan of the first two games but it doesn’t hurt to hope.

Bro I fricking loved the areospray PG in Splatoon 1 cause inkstrike was a super clutch super as most of my wins on 1 were caused by inkstrike clutches, and in 2 I haven't seen the kit for it but its prob not that good idk. And something I do hope comes to 3 is hero weapon skins for weapons that have hero mode versions like, dualies having a S2 hero dualies skin if you have hero dualies unlocked, and if you have the 3 accessories from the inkling, boy, girl, and squid amibo you get hero skins for the weapons corresponding to them from S1 so, boy = S1 hero roller, girl = S1 hero charger, and squid = S1 hero shot, and the original callie and marie amibos gives the hero outfit from S1, I believe Marie gives the hero armor while callie gives the unarmored version, and if you see someone with the S1 hero set, armor or not, pay respects to them, they are sitting on a goldmine cause the new S3 callie and Marie amibos dont give the S1 hero outfit

I hope Nintendo makes it possible to re-wear the splatfest T-shirts. And not just the replica of the grey shirt when you're not on a team, but for all teams from past splatfests. Like if you wanted to wear the team past shirt, or the team ghost shirt, or the team money or team love shirt. You could choose any previous team to wear on your splatfest shirt. That's what I want. Or you can have the ability to choose which shirt you want to wear from all previous fests, BUT, only from the teams you were on.

@@EagleScoutGamerwell, Ben says content but the post just mentions regular updates. Not far fetched to think they might just release a bunch of 3rd kits in one patch like the Sheldon’s picks/Kensas were as one version update - they’re just stopping the new season/catalog update schedule

Me and my bf love playing splatoon 3 together but nothing is as exciting as playing tricolor. We explicitly started playing only during splatfests because the mode was so fun. He uses a weapon that has a shield special and goes for the signal while I stay back and cover him. We have our system and it’s so fun working together as a team. To think we only have four more chances to play like this again is really sad to think about. However I think Nintendo will probably add the mode to private battles once summer nights fest is over

Weapon skins, more spesifically for weapon types that had hero versions in S1 and 2 had skins for those hero weapons, and for the S1 amibo so the S1 skins can be obtained my idea is that all 3 of the gear peices from that amibo to be obtained, and then you get the S1 hero weapon skins that they give you when you complete allnof the amibo challanges from S1, that would be cool for vets with stuff like the amibo and the games

Sorry but that splatfest was horrid for team balancing. 92% of players were on Team Nessie and Team Aliens, meaning the mirror matches, especially during tricolour, were even worse than the ones we had on Team Present…
