In terms of availability, that player needs to be like Jordan's Rondae Hollis-Jefferson, who makes himself available as long as there's a basketball tournament for his country. This way, for FIBA events, in case Justin Brownlee is injured, this naturalized player can step up and even lead the Gilas team. What's happening with Chris McCullough? He wants to be in Gilas! Why haven't SBP contacted him yet?! And how about the other PBA imports who are interested?

the controversies started day 1 when Tab Baldwin was unceremoniously removed as coach of Gilas, followed by SBP headed by Al Panlilio arbitrarily replacing him with Chot Reyes.

We don't need a current or former sports coach. We need a good executive or manager, from the private sector, who can share their capabilities in building up a program from scractch. This is why NBA teams have a "President of Basketball Operations" separate from "General Manager". We need someone who knows how to create a strategy after assessing the situation. All of these heads can run the basketball side, but the program side, it has to be someone unbiased and uninfluenced by the Marcials, Chuas, Panlilios and all those other idiots.
