United will probably on start competing when they start taking risks and genuinely rebuilding Carrington (proper youth development) so that they have good prospect who can either come through or be sold, they also need to completely rebuild.

At least 6 years You keep comparing yourself to Chelsea when we took 3 years to comeback and they're 3 good reasons why with United it will not be as smooth 1. You don't have Oil money 2. Teams are getting better quickly. Villa, Newcastle, Forest, Fulham even Bournemouth and Brentford are building something with their current squad. You're currently at Crysal Palace's level. You have a long way to go 3. Chelsea won the UCl 1.5 years prior to our Overhaul, so it was easier to get money from transfers and selling the waste. We had Mount, Havertz, Christenseen, Mendy, Rudiger, Ziyech, Gallagher, Kanter, Jorginho, Kovacic and more. United don't have that type of quality or value or proven talents in big games and that's because most of your players don't even have it. Hojlund, Zirkzee, Casemiro, Antony, shaw, evans levaes a bad taste in my mouth just saying their names. I swear only Maguire will give you good money selling But you do hae a manger, so that's a positive for you Also comparing to Arsenal, they had a Saka, Amad and Mainoo are not on that level and the Arse took 5 years

I'd say with the right backing they could get compete for the title the season after next. The squad stinks and realistically almost the entire starting XI have to be changed in order to seriously compete, but if INEOS are smart and back Amorim over the next few windows with players that actually fit his system they can definitely be back up there soon. A lot will depend on how Chelsea, City, Arsenal, and Liverpool develop over that time. I think Chelsea can be serious but they have proven to be very volatile in the past and their squad is young which means there will be bumps in the road as they grow together. City basically need an entire squad rebuild and we don't know what will happen with the charges and who will replace Pep in a few years. Arsenal will be tough but I don't see them being a juggernaut like City have been. Liverpool might have the best manager in the league after Pep but still a lot of question marks with Salah, VVD, and Trent and we don't know what a true Slot team will look like down the line. This is a heavy transitional period in the league and is actually a good window for INEOS to really make a statement of intent, but it HAS to be smart and they cannot make the same mistakes the Glazers did by not backing managers and enabling mediocrity and refusing to hold players accountable by simply firing managers repeatedly.
