If you watch the b team videos and his comps you can see Nicky rod has holes. From north south chokes, leg locks and even different angles for body locks. I think he will win gold in something before black belt But I think he needs a black belt to be pound for pound. Training 5 years is it? I think in 6 with no injuries he will be pretty unstoppable. The way he got beaten with a leg lock from Gordon showed he's not completely confident and what Nicky Ryan said about his Felipe pena match. Imagine getting a black belt from Craig Jones who has a style like Lachlan ghiles with leg locks, nick Ryan who is John Danaher brain child and Ethan who is a master to get to your back who started at tri star canada. Tbh anyone who gets a black belt from the b team would be lucky. Lucky in the way those three are running a gym.

If Nicky is waiting until he’s No. 1 P4P to get a black belt, he’ll probably never get it. He’s top level, but not #1.
