If it's not open by July 4th there's a good chance it won't open till next season. The season is rapidly approaching halfway at that point. This is exactly why I was gunning for intiman to redo the ride,their high speed trains have already been put to use and all the bugs worked out. This was the gamble CF took letting Zamperla do this ride,don't get me wrong they did a fantastic job but using prototype trains for the 1st time was a big gamble they lost on

My next-door neighbor's cousin is married to a guy that used to work with one of the spike engineers. He said that confusion over the use of metric and SAE measuring systems caused a major flaw during construction. Ultimately, the spike needs to be completely disassembled to remove the 25.4 mm bolt spacers. Only then can it be rebuilt with an SAE crane using the proper 1 inch bolt spacers.

There's always the possibility that the state inspectors could reject the modification, pushing the reopening date forward even further. I'm dying to ride this coaster, but honestly I wouldn't be comfortable riding it this season. For me, traveling over the fast switch track at 100 mph gives me the heebie-jeebies, especially since it was built by Zamperla. I want to see the switch track perform well over an entire season and in all weather conditions before I'd be comfortable riding this.
@KICoasterGuy5 ай бұрын
VERY true. Running into problems with the inspection is absolutely a possible roadblock. They do have a third party inspection partner, so hopefully they'd know whether or not it would pass before calling in the Department of Agriculture (I know) to reinspect the ride. Yeah that's such a good question and I wondered the same thing. Yes, they did VERY extensive testing. The only reasonable answer I've come upon is that they didn't just suddenly break, but after all the hundreds or thousands of cycles they started noticing premature wear that they realized WOULD cause problems if ignored.
