Yeah it'll definitely happen. It did well, better than they expected even, and more importantly than that, the folks that make it love what they've done and would like to continue. I'm not a "Next Nintendo console is right around the corner" guy, but I've always figured they were just waiting till the next console even before all that rumor noise cropped up. But with them releasing sequels to fellow switch launch bretheren like Botw (even if I'm not a fan of that direction lol), Splatoon 3, and... Everybody 1,2 Switch off all things, they may shock us and hit us with ARMS 2 on switch once the Mario Kart DLC stuff is done and they can fully focus on another game.

If the next Nintendo console isn't coming anytime soon then yeah! ARMS 2 on switch is a good idea, but i still think most Nintendo fans already wanna see the next console

I really loved ARMS but ARMS 2 will have a lot to overcome in order to do well. More than anything I want to see a lot of world building and maybe some story mode outside of grandprix. I am not sure how it would be done, but I want ARMS 2 to have more to it than just a few gamemodes. The gameplay is really enjoyable and the characters are top notch, but it just leaves you wanting more. I think in terms of movement I want the entire game to be a bit faster, not exactly in the speed of matched or how fast everyone can attack, but instead in the amount of control people have and how fast the characters move around the stages. Perhaps everyone is able to jog instead of walk, and dashing will be even faster? To compensate for the increased move speed, everyone's ARMS will be more controllable?

It makes the most sense for it to come out a couple years from now. We’ve passed the point that they would announce it for Switch, and unless they want to really kneecap the franchise, I think releasing soon after the next console is the obvious right move. I hope it makes a bigger impact when it returns. They just need to sell it more as a legit fighting game and not a tech demo, because I’m living proof that the original marketing didn’t interest many outsiders. I only hopped in with the NSO free trial in 2020, and I realized my mistake then.

Marketing was 100% one of the main issues with this game, I really hope that Nintendo has eyes on the fanbase and gets the memo about making the marketing not suck

I am really hoping the next console will have a sequel or at least like a deluxe vesion of arms with much more content. I can see ARMS 2 having some new modes, maps and characters. Maybe character customization like splatoon?( and the recent most street fighter LOL) I think more minigames or maybe a revitilization of some core concepts to expand on. Endless Ocean 3 is my other long waited Nintendo game as EO blue world was my faveorite nintendo game on the wii. Its definitely the underrated nintendo game of the Wii LOL.

ARMS 2 should take notes from SF6 world tour tbh would be a nice way tl have a story mode and flesh the world out (If rumors are true and the next Nintendo console is on par with the PS4/XB1 then it is completely fair to expect a huge mode like that)

I always pray at the announcement of every direct that we get a new announcement for ARMS and hope it's a sequel. I was with ARMS since day 1 and I loved the characters and it's lore. Every time I look back on it I just get frustrated with how much wasted potential it has to be a big thing for Nintendo. Yabuki does give me hope that we will see this world again and I will be there happy when we see it expand.

You hate the motion controls? Nah I like it because I can swing my hands near as quick as pressing a button, this game helped me lose a ton of weight (and ring fit)

The one thing I would consider as a reason ARMS 2 may not happen, or would continue a focus on motion controls is that Nintendo is sometimes stubbornly adamant about doing nothing with a promising series they don't believe it has a unique, innovative hook (see starfox, fzero, paper mario). That may be a Miyamoto-ism and not something EPD9 takes as seriously, but it is the main thing giving me pause to thinking an expanded sequel is a given

Motio. Controls is to ARMS what gyro is to splatoon It was really unique and fun to use It wasn’t “gimmicky” Also people do enjoy motion controls again
