On the other hand the other guy is clearly narcissistic, there is such a thing as too much self love and being self absorbed. He was pretty self-interested and not willing to make personal sacrifices for the sake of others. The pessimistic guy just seems to realize that the world doesn’t revolve around him and that he’s not particularly special which sure is kind of awkward to respond to but it’s also a mature and interesting take. Loving others more than you love yourself is actually really sweet and humble. I can definitely tell he’s more conservative and traditional and instead of dismissing it as hatred taking an interest in his view is actually what he needed. Basically the title was right, these guys are total opposites, not compatible. But I don’t like that the comments are all blaming the colder more reserved guy - being critical of yourself and others is not necessarily a bad thing. These guys are on opposite sides so maybe that’s why it looks worse but I didn't get the vibe the comments are getting.

I can't believe in our society we have come to the point of judging two teenagers having different approaches to life, and labelling one as "miserable" simply because he pointed out that his date is according to him overly confident.
