Aw i love these girls, such a joy to watch! YES there is loads of legs and tricks but thats what these girls specialize in!! Think about it....not really many mini groups out there age 7-9 that all of them can do back catches and front ariels. its hard stuff for a group this size to all do. i give these hard working little ladies a thumbs up and keep doing what your doing because it looks fabulous! xxxx

It's also probably labeled as a large group acro routine for competition. So the judges are looking at how they work everyone together and the acro technique. The dance is perfection.

They are young. If you go to competitions the younger dancers are all tricks with some movement. As they get older it becomes more about dance but the tricks they do have are phenomenal.

completely disagree! their teacher got them to this point at a very young age, and I believe their dancing will develop & mature with time :) I think they are on the right track & I loved this

I think one of the reasons gymnastics is beginning to play a big part in dance is because a lot of gymnasts are starting to dance. So I think it's just one of those things that are kind of being picked up.

It's all tricks because it's a competition and at a competition you do whatever you can to catch the judges eye. It was also probably acro .... Which would be what the judges see on their scoring sheets. Don't rip on dance if you don't know how competing works.

don't get me wrong this dance is amazing and the girls all danced beautifully but didn't anyone else notice all the difficulty in the dance came from the same girls doing tricks while everyone else was either off stage or face down or on the ground

All of these dancers are fantastic - their technique is definitely spot on. However, for being such great dancers, I would have expected the piece to be cleaner. Sometimes timing was off for a couple of the girls and placement wasn't always precise. With a little more attention detail it could have been breath taking.

Seriously guys? Alexa choreographs to her dancers strengths, which, for the mini's, is clearly flexibility. There is definitely dancing. Sure, of a lot of turns, but let's say their turns aren't great, so they practice them but don't it them in their routine so their routine has what they're best at so they can win. Just saying.

i really hate how dance has been turned into gymnastics. both sports have great style and technical difficulties but this routine is definitely not dance at all. they're all very flexible but theres not enough technique at all.
