I can accept the historical evidence of Jesus' having lived and been crucified. I can also agree to the fact that the manuscripts exist to prove that the contents of the bible were written after the death of Jesus. The problem is that there is no evidence for any of the miracles and no, Todd does not own the facts about biblical truths of the talking snakes. These things are either true or they are not. Unfortunately, the real elephant in the room is God's existence, and Todd cannot prove it. There is no way for him to know if God exists. He does not have more power than the rest of us whereby he has Revelation from God. He merely presupposes God and has no proof for the assertions. That is why it is intellectual laziness that he would take such unprovable position. He can't even admit he does not know. That's not good.

I learned about ideals like this from my ethics and philosophy classes where there is no absolute right or wrong except in the Divine command theory. I pretty much had a hard time the entire semester considering any of the other moral theories as "moral" because there was no absolute right or wrong. Keep reminding yourself that your evolution has just play a trick on you in thinking that torturing babies for fun is wrong. Also on philosophical naturalism remember that all you thoughts and actions can be explained by physics and predecessor causes, so freedom of thoughts and of action (will) are as illusory as your intuitions about morality. So to be fair your philosophy prof should have told you that he is not sharing these ideas with you because they are true. He is sharing them with you because he is preprogrammed by evolution to share them! Which also means you are wasting a lot of money on college.

That verse(basically the whole chpt)refers to the OT and the fall of man and sin offerings.In Levitics offerings are talked about in detail.Chpt 1-3 of Leviticus speaks of burnt offerings,meat or meal offerings, and peace oferings.From chpt 4-8, sin offerings are discussed. From Genesis2:16-17 and chpt 3, we can see what Romans 6:23 means and how they correlate to Leviticus. In the OT the ppl who sinned were under the law and the punishment for sin was death.Sin offerings were symbolic of Christ
