I did not buy Refresh originally and so bought a standalone M3P after crashing it - with Refresh this time. I crashed this one too and they sent me basically a brand new one. Now I have the original (still flies) and the new one.

I've crashed or sunk several drones. What I've learned is buy a used drone and keep it for backup. Like a Mavic Air. I make more on the footage than the drone costs me. I fly them like I stole them. But having a cheap second or third drone allows you to film if your main drone is lost. And flying a cheaper drone in riskier settings causes less anxiety.

Good suggestions here! I like this approach a lot. This takes the stress off flying and after this crash, it makes me wanna take less risks with the drone and miss out on epic shots and angles. But having a cheaper drone definitely takes that stress off. We will take this advice of buying a used ones for backup moving forward. I forget Facebook marketplace is still a thing :D - Thanks!

@@cbcinematics that’s where I get mine. The Mavic Air is pretty cheap and I have lots of batteries. The drone itself is easy to replace. Swap SD cards when you change batteries. Keep lots of 32gb cards so you don’t lose footage when you lose a drone.

@@wildcreatures9810 Our original reason for getting the mini 3 pro was the low light performance, but i don't find myself doing much low light actually. 80% of the work our team does is in the broad daylight so this is a great suggestion! Thanks!!

From what I hear, if you contact DJI and talk to them, their repairs are usually reasonably priced, even if you didn't get DJI Refresh. It's worth a try talking to them and seeing what they say! 💯

You shuld take a helicopter pilot class online to learn how to fight drift
