My therapist just told me " If you ALWAYS have to be the bigger person, maybe you shouldn't be around so many little people"

This.., once you realize feeling loved is simply being respected and trusted much will change. Relationships are complicated and many make them more so when they could flourish.

I've witnessed so many traumatised parents, but functional that keep perpetuating their trauma to their children that I feel governments must support free therapy sessions for parents and future parents asap! 🥺

I strongly agree, children’s life is ruined because parents have issues they don’t deal with and pass it on to their kids.

"We should go to therapy." That is such an enlightened answer, especially if it comes from family.

After spilling my heart to a therapist I was asked so what are you going to do with all that? Ouch! I was so lost in even processing. It broke my heart and seemed cruel. Almost passive aggressive. I shut down after that. I tried again and found a therapist that was able to hold space for me. It is a journey. Today I am not where I want to be but I can hold space for myself with compassion. I am not broken. I am a whole person with a lot of emotions that I navigate. Some days I function better than other days and that is okay. I just have to keep showing up for myself and forgive myself for my " not so finer moments." Namaste

Once I actually told my therapist that I literally just needed her to hear myself say it out loud because it was admitting it all happened. It was really eye opening for both of us, she admitted that she was unaware of how much that could mean to someone as myself. She also thanked me for teaching her that she didn’t always need to have a way to help resolve, listening and acknowledging the strength it took to talk to her is sometimes more than enough.

*5 Ways To Raise Your Vibration:* 1. When emotions are high, intelligence is low. Make decisions with balanced emotions. 2. Before raising your vibrations, practice techniques like self love, gratitude and dance. 3. Place your hands on your heart and remember all the things you're grateful for. 4. Play some amazing music and get your body moving and when you feel the joy but your mind is a chaos. 5. To calm your mind, take a deep breath keep on practicing and then set your intentions or wishes with the highest vibration. ~Much Love from a Law of Attraction KZbinr💜

I have had counselors that insist they know exactly why I am the way I am, and insisting that deity was how to "fix" me, and others that have looked at me as a clinical case study. I have had others, including the one I am seeing now, that actually LISTEN.

Yes! We all do know it (@12:39) - deep inside. Therapy is one way to help us "remember" what/who we really are under the ruble that often appears to accompany the human experience. Great point.

The asian woman(sorry don't know her name) She was acting like a therapist. basically interrogating and explaining but was not just talking to the other woman. Sometimes people want someone to just talk to. the conversation didn't seem like a "conversation" It just seemed like the asian woman wanted to pull info out of her forcefully rather than just trying to be a friend. Maybe someone just want's a friend. I'm not trying to speak for the other woman, but I'm speaking on my own behalf. My current therapist, she is nice but that is how I feel about her. she doesn't really "talk to me" I feel like I'm being interrogated and I'm not getting anything out of it.

What do I do if I can’t afford a therapist ?
@evanbetty9 ай бұрын
No one commented directly here but thought I’d still reply. What I have done is seek out free clinics or free mental health services in my city. Long wait lists sometimes but they can connect you with additional community resources. I was connected to an app called “calm.” Not necessarily therapy but it has been helpful for me. There’s also group sessions in community centers and that sort of places so search for those online. If your county has an information line you can call or go to their website and get other free resources there. Hang in there and don’t be afraid to ask for help. You’d be surprised how much help you receive once you actually ask. Huge hug ❤
