Hello, If anyone sees this I would truly appreciate any prayers. I am a recent convert from Hinduism to Christianity and I feel very alone in my walk. I also worry very very much for my family who all are Hindus and worry for their salvation. I would really really appreciate any prayers to help my family open their eyes to the truth, and also I would love it if you guys prayed for me to find people who will help me grow in my faith and not lead me away from it. Thank you so much, God bless you all and I hope you don't give up! God bless you Rick Warren, you have helped me so much in my walk!

Hello, Pooja I thank God that He has led you from the slavery of Hinduism into the glorious light of Jesus Christ. The best and surest way to make sure that you do not return to Hinduism or become discouraged in your faith, is to learn the Bible and to MEMORIZE SCRIPTURE. I tell you this from my own experience. Many years ago, I decided to learn the Bible and so I began to read it. I had no idea, really, of how to go about reading it, but, many years late
@valp99727 жыл бұрын
Hi, again, Pooja- I continue my reply to you: Many years after embarking upon reading the Bible, and learning it, I have memorized many, many scriptures. These scriptures walk with me daily, like friends, who keep me from stumbling and give me great encouragement. I suggest that you begin to read the four Gospels, Matthew, Mark, Luke and John. Memorize the great words of Christ, for example, "In the world you have trouble, but be of good cheer: I have overcome the world." Go through these Gospels slowly, and begin to memorize by reciting the words of Scripture to yourself, daily. Then move on to the Epistles, which are the first letters of the Apostles to the early churches. Here, again, are many Scriptural passages which should be memorized. For example, from the sixth chapter of Ephesians, "For we do not fight against flesh and blood but spiritual wickedness in high places." This entire chapter explains to us Christians what our battle is really about; we wrestle against the kingdoms of spiritual darkness, which your family is held captive to. I assure you that if you go about the BIble in this way, reading perhaps, a chapter from one of the Gospels and another chapter in the Epistles, daily, that your walk with Christ will grow exponentially. I would also add to this, a chapter daily, in the Psalms, from the Old Testament. These psalms, or songs, many of them written by King David about seven hundred years before Christ, are true stories of victory in battle which King David wrote about, as he experienced God's protection, love, comfort and even discipline. Read psalm 34 for example, which tells of God's protection over David in trouble: "This poor man cried, and the Lord heard, and delivered him from all his fears." Or Psalm 51, in which David repents before God of his sin of adultery, and cries, "Create in me a clean heart, and renew a right spirit within me." If you make it a practise to read one chapter a day in the Gospels, one in the Epistles, and one psalm every day, your life in Christ will grow and grow and grow. Read slowly and thoughtfully, and, if you feel you cannot even finish one chapter a day because there is so much content, then, go even slower, but put in the time. In response to your concerns for your family members, I will begin praying daily for them. Let us ask God together, right now, that He would begin to change their hearts and make them ready to receive the Gospel. Let us also ask the Lord to send to them, people who would witness the truth of the Gospel of Jesus Christ to them. I will continue to pray for them, as I pray for many people daily. And I ask you not to lose hope, concerning them. Answers will come, but they may not come soon. I also pray daily for some of my family members who have been lost for many years. We are told to "Pray without ceasing, " and that "The fervent, prayer of a righteous man avails much." And the Bible is filled with examples of people who prayed, and our Lord who answered their prayers, which you will find as you read the Scriptures. God bless you my brother in Christ. May the Lord who brought you out of the darkness into His marvelous light, be forever praised !

Hi, again, Pooja, Pick up a Bible at a Christian bookstore, or online. I recommend you purchase either the New King James version of the Bible, or the New American Standard version. Both of these are newer versions and the New American Standard is a direct translation, considered the best and truest translation of the ancient Scriptures. The Bible is made up of many separate books. The Gospels which I wrote to you about, namely, the books of Matthew, Mark, Luke and John, are the first four books of the NEW Testament, and you should not start reading in the Old Testament, but in the NEW Testament, with these books I mention. The Gospels are different from every other book of the Bible in that they are the EYE-WITNESS ACCOUNTS OF THE LIFE OF JESUS CHRIST AS HE WALKED THE STREETS OF ANCIENT ISRAEL. The authors of these four Gospels are Matthew, Mark, Luke and John - for which the books are also named. The Epistles are the early letters to the first church written by various authors, but the majority were written by the Apostle Paul. These are the books of Romans, Corinthians, Ephesians, Galatians, etc. And the book of Psalms is not in the New Testament but in the Old Testament. If you spend a little money and buy the New American Standard version of Old and New Testaments, there will be many notes in this Bible from the publisher explaining the Bible and the various books. Educate yourself. Read daily; but aside an hour a day. Your life will become richer than you could ever imagine, and, years later, you will still be reaping a daily harvest. I speak from experience. I began to read the Bible over forty years ago, and daily, receive its benefits, to this day, except it has become even richer and better. I cannot stress enough, the benefits which are received, when a person launches into a deliberate and personal study of the Scriptures. The Word of God will become personal to you, and walk beside you as your friend throughout your entire life. God Bless You, my friend and brother in Christ.

Anyone still here in 2019? I'm struggling as a single mom of three I work full time with no assistance from anyone and family very far away who also are not in a position to assist in any way. I continuously want to do the right thing I want to walk the path with Jesus but sometimes feel that I failed the test in front of me the small ones that seem small but I know right from wrong. I we'll continue this walk but I relate to this very much so not even sure how I'm going to make it through the month financially but because of my children my faith I know we will be okay. Mental illness is the worst part of my battle...Sending lots of love from Atlantic City to anyone reading this

Tammi Poprik Hi Tammi, your post brought tears to my eyes. My mom was a single mom of three too. She worked so hard to provide the best life she could for the three of us. We lived in an old house that was so worn down, got our food from the church, and had to take things day by day. My mom somehow always had a smile on her face even when she was afraid she wouldn’t be able to feed the three of us. Her faith and walk with Jesus was the only thing that got her through. Somehow, she went to school and became a teacher. Somehow she was able to pay the bills. Somehow she was able to provide for our family despite the circumstance. When I ask her how she did it on her own, her answer is always Jesus. Somehow, you will get through this too. The same God who brought you to it will bring you through it! Sending prayers your way ❤️

I am do used to pain in every aspect of my life I got used to it and think it's pratically normal. Why was I given life to live if life suck so much? What reason to live do I have to if there is no better plan to make my dreams and help others like hoped? Gad one wonderful part of my life that I still thank God every day. Pastor Rick is a great inspiration. There are situations that you can't control over your marriage no matter how much you fight. You cant control the other person. They have free will to decide if they want to change. My spouse of 28 years became a serious alcoholic in the last 5 years of our marriage. I cant force him to go to marriage counseling. He has been to numerous rehab and out patient treatment centers. We sold our family home and moved our home and businesses to make a fresh start last year. Nothing motivated him to change. He has almost died in the hospital from a bleeding ulcer 2 years ago and again this year in May of 2017 but continues to drink. I have filed for divorce because he has abandoned the marriage and I cant endure another incident of bloody projectile vomiting that results from the bleeding ulcers. He currently is in a retreat after the hospital stay and is fighting me over the business I held up in his absence due to his drinking. ( I legally own half of the business) I am relying on the Lord Jesus to see me through this fire and keeping my eyes squarely on Him and not the problem. I welcome your intercessory prayer as I walk through this fire and know that God is good and has something waiting for me on the other side.

Reasons why you should stay alive. 1. We would miss you. 2. It's not worth the regret. Either by yourself if you failed or just simply left scars, or the regret everyone else feels by not doing enough to help you. 3. It does get better. Believe it or not it will eventually get better. Sometimes you have to go through the storm to get to the rainbow. 4. There's so much you would miss out on doing. 5. There is always a reason to live. It might not be clear right now, but it is always there. 6. So many people care, and it would hurt them if you hurt yourself. 7. You ARE worth it. Don't let anyone, especially yourself, tell you otherwise. 8. You are amazing. 9. A time will come, once you've battled the toughest times of your life and are in ease once again, where you will be so glad that you decided to keep on living. You will emerge stronger from this all, and won't regret your choice to carry on with life. Because things always get better. 10. What about all the things you've always wanted to do? What about the things you've planned, but never got around to doing? You can't do them when you're dead. 11. I love you. Even if only one person loves you, that's still a reason to stay alive. 12. You won't be able to listen to music if you die. 13. Killing yourself is never worth it. You'll hurt both yourself and all the people you care about. 14. There are so many people that would miss you, including me. 15. You're preventing a future generation, YOUR KIDS, from even being born. 16. How do you think your family would feel? Would it improve their lives if you died? 17. You're gorgeous, amazing, and to someone you are perfect. 18. Think about your favourite music artist, you'll never hear their voice again... 19. You'll never have the feeling of walking into a warm building on a cold day 20. Listening to incredibly loud music 21. Being alive is just really good. 22. Not being alive is really bad. 23. Finding your soulmate. 24. Red pandas 25. Going to diners at three in the morning. 26. Really soft pillows. 27. Eating pizza in New York City. 28. Proving people wrong with your success. 29. Watching the jerks that doubted you fail at life. 30. Seeing someone trip over a garbage can. 31. Being able to help other people. 32. Bonfires. 33. Sitting on rooftops. 34. Rick, As you know our purpose in life is to help others as we build ourselves and happiness is a side affect.I can't help you with much but health and wellness is something I know well.You mentioned your weight and I feel God is using me to tell you that your health,your temple needs to be taken as a top priority.1 hour a day of anything that is cardio will give you an even better life than you could ever imagine. yes Muscle training will help reduce fat but the truth is that you have plenty of muscle so you have to sweat.I know my comment is tough love but its a fact.Look at runners and tennis players.They all have fit builds and are thin due to all the cardio.I hope this helps.I say this only to help you to make it to the next level as you have helped me rise up so many times before.
