proud of my guy DF for getting as far as he has done, i was there when the first episode uploaded, he's done a lot on this and in a method that was entirely different to my own, i can't wait to see him learn about the aegis system he's ignored for the entire time he's played it (he could've started from level 1 5 times over and had 5 more skill points to work with by now.) and that's only features from part 1, he's still got to unlock the 2 hidden skill trees, beat the challenges, beat the challenge boss & then beat the final boss in it's truest form. good luck Danger, and don't forget to tip your waitress while you're in the dungreed.

Final damage is like true damage, with a percentage of the damage you'd deal after the defenses of the enemy. Say you deal 150 damage. After defense reduction of an enemy, you deal him 100 damage. With the set bonus you deal 100 + 20% = 120 damage.

i don 't think that's how it works: lets say an enemy has 50% damage reduction. you deal 100 damage to him, which is mitigated to 50. if you have 20% final damage, that's going to be 60 damage. BUT if you deal 100 and then add 20% onto it, that would be 120. apply 50% damage reduction to that and you get 60 damage. so i don't get where you got that from. or we can put it with 150 damage: you deal 150 damage to him, but he only takes 2/3 damage. that means that he takes 100, and then final damage makes it 120. but if final damage is added before hand, that would be 180 damage, and then 2/3 would still be 120. there's no reason to call it final damage, since that's overall damage. from what i can tell, final damage is like an execute. your attack does 50 damage. the enemy has 110 health. your first attack will deal 50, but if you have 20% final damage, your next attack will do 60 damage to execute the enemy

That really only makes sense if the damage reduction is flat. Because: Let be X the post-mitigation damage, y the pre-mitigation damage, c the mitigation coefficient and b the the damage multiplier. Then x=(y*b)*cx=(y*c)*b. Only if a flat mitigation f is introduced it starts to make a difference Because then x=(y-f)*c*b x=((y*b)-f)*c

@@draconocor so it's just a damage multiplier..... then y don't they just call it that then final damage. look if you have 200 power, 200 crit damage, and 50 final damage and you deal 100 damage, then it would be 100x3.00(power)x2(crit)x1.5(final damage). but would that not be the same as 100x1.5(final damage)x2(crit)x3(power)?so why would it be called final damage, if it doesn't matter if it is multiplied at the end or the beginning. the devs put final there for a reason, or they would have went and put damage or something

Hey DF, you can actually sacrifice your xp points, all your levels, to gain a sort of extra tier, which unlocks bonus attributes and an extra skillpoint to use. You can do this at the altar with aegis, up to 5 times, it makes you so much stronger.

Just in case you haven't found out yet, Hoerica has a limited number of places she can spawn. She has no top or bottom room entrances so she can only be access from a room with a horizontal door/ entrance. This means that if you clear rooms in a horizontal line, you're more likely to find her sooner.

@DangerouslyFunny Try to go for 150 Defense, As you can see at 12:34 105.1 def(defense)=75% DR(damage reduction); at 12:40 123.1 def=75% DR; at 12:51 85.1 def=66.6% DR as well as at 12:53 103.1 def=66.6% DR. According to this obviously, the DR is not based on the amount of def total, but certain milestones of def achieved! The one that separates 66.6% from 75% is at 105 def so the next one can be anywhere from 125-200(if the devs decide to be trolls).

So, uhh, I cleared the game within my 2 first hours of game time. Blood pact combo or whatever the name was, full defence and a bunch of attack speed. Thanks to your videos I understood the power of defence. I just got hit by everything and lost a maximum of 5 hp each room I went through (5hp from max, since I healed so much)

i recommend playing as Lasley cuz he has 3 hp a OP starting weapon, and you can increase attack using charms of madness without worrying about his max hp cuz it doesn't get effected by anything whatsoever

You have to talk to the shrine kid, when you are at level 30 you can go back to level 1 but with extra bonus stats. Aegis a couple of times and you will have 5 extra skill points

That boss at the 14 minute mark is totally a reference to Ichigo Kurosaki from Bleach. Sword is 100% zangetsu, he does a slash attack that does a regular getsuga as well as a black getsuga, has hyper speed, and even dropped Zaraki Kenpachi's eyepatch...

Kaminela's portal is an insta-kill, he can only put them down in certain locations... like where he spawns at the start of the fight. It has a small gravity but basically as long as you don't walk right up to him, it's generally easy to avoid. Also has DF never used Aegis from the temple? Sure it resets level back to 1 but it does give some small bonuses. I think the Serrated Sword actually would have worked well, it does after all, multi-hit every enemy it hits, so does considerably more damage than the stats show.

Theres a secret character for killing a certain amount of enemies with the spatula, which gives a regenning shield innately. Easiest by far, since it stacks with the one you have too.

The blackhole thingy (which doesn't look like blackhole at all) is the one that killing you, whatever your defense or toughness it'll insta-kill you, try avoid that by seeing red box appear before the blackhole appear

Just a heads up, poison and burn damage go through defense and toughness, so they're about the only way you get hurt with those type of builds. Also, the boss summons BS insta-kill suck portals with almost no warning, stay away from the red squares. The only reason you survived at all is the "4 seconds of invulnerability when killed" perk in the defense skill tree.

The reason dragon are so tough is because you are going for a defense build and thier attacks can inflict shocked debuff which sets your defense and toughness to 0

There is a damage item that scales with stacking defence, was unlucky you didnt get to see that! but my advice? Tonfa’s arent bad, try them a little, and dont be afraid to use your accessories in the anvils if your unsure your weapon might get replaced, good luck :D that character is basically dungreed on easy mode, armour works way too well, its a shame dungreed feels a little too well balanced on the other stats to get just as broken. You can try but it requires too much rn’jesus and praying to get anything else as broken as armour stacking gets. Besides finding the ‘heal on crit’ item, that also guarantees a god run too.

So I just got Dungreed after watching the first few videos, got boned on my first handful of runs, and then using the boomerang went from never beating a boss to beating the first 4. That's from never seeing the second stage to being in what I refer to as "The Real Hell" meaning the nice looking zone right after the actually firey hellish one. Cause even DF struggles with the shit stage 5 throws at you

Okay look, I don't care that this video is around half a year old, I need to get this off my chest. Final damage is additional damage dealt when the enemy is on low hp. How it works is that, if the enemy is on low enough up that, by increasing your normal damage plus the final damage, it would kill the enemy, then the final damage is applied, otherwise, it does not get applied. In other words, final damage only affects the killing blow!
