I'm glad to say I don't understand how resorting to this is fun. Sure going "I win" might seem fun, but if you stop for a moment and realize you're just legit cheating, hollow win. God Mode just isn't fun, IMO. There's a player in my guild that clearly wants to hack, but when he brought up asking how to basically do that our Guild Leader told him he'd get kicked from the guild, lol. Freaking losers...

Hey I bet the last hackers you met from that one video used the save and load position. It makes more sense tbh than invisible, they just poofed away. Sad part about is, they could prevent a lot of these hacks easily, but I digress. Or at very least have detection systems, so they can go investigate it... OH Also to get a players name in game, right click their name bar and click block. It will put them on your block list.

Most of the hacks or code injectors you can find won't work, for a variety of reasons, but they will likely always exist, because it's almost imposible (dev hell) for anet to actually automate all the cheat detection, because there's already "hacks" implemented on the game, with items like the position rewinder, teleport to friend, mounts to reach insane speeds, etc. There's already been cases of ppl getting in trouble for using too many teleport to friends in a short time span, and some bugs aren't helping either, when your pc loads the maps a bit slower than expected because of your hdd or whatever, you might also get out of bound on the maps and just fall into the void. When you reach a REALLY high velocity, you can penetrate walls on the map and some other weird stuff, because of the desyncs on your end and their servers, etc etc. To me, cheating takes away all the fun of a game, but if you enjoy them, it's fine until you start messing with other ppl that try to enjoy that game without cheats. There's nothing more embarrasing that being a cheater and getting you ass clapped in sPvP or WvW as well xD

I always wonder how the willbenders, thieves and mesmers teleport up giant cliffs when they start losing.

That's normal for mesmer if it is within range I think. But Willbender shouldn't be able to teleport on cliff unless there's a mob and they use a teleport spell on them.

@DjDragon5000 just the problem with it tho, too hard to know what's abusing a mechanic to the limit vs subtle hack. Like today a firebrand used blazing edge a 600 range skill on a group of us gliding above them at 1500+ range. Hack or just broke ass mechanic

@@DjDragon5000 No, wish I had it setup to record. It was so weird that I checked damage logs and that was the only interrupt listed. I assume it was like the Reaper greatsword pull that doesn't seem to have vertical range and rips you over walls

At least in battlefield or other fps its blatant types of hacking, so its obvious to admins, but this is suttle and really insidious types of hacks

I met these hackers in pvp a few years ago. They literally reached our home base first when the match started (I was fast myself using daredevil thief with sprint). A twitch streamer showed a vid of apparently the same hacker that he also fought in pvp. Sadly nothing came out of it. This is one reason why I play pvp sparingly nowadays.

Sadly Anet won't do anything about legit hackers unless they cost them money in a measurable way. Every now and then they go after one or two if they are super obvious about it and get hundreds of reports about them, but if not they just let them keep doing what they do.

Player ESP, is the ability to see players through walls. This kind of hack exists in alot of games. From boxes around the players hitbox to lines that draw to all nearby players. Regardless if a wall is between you or not. Its such an annoying hack in pvp. So what I believe the teleport does, since the hacks claim to use memory.. Your current location is stored in memory. When you "save your location" I believe thats just stored in the hacks temporary files, etc. Then when you want to teleport it updates the memory location so the game will then force you back to the location you saved. Sometimes the game will tp you like that in certain circumstances but its mostly to prevent you from going into certain locations. Like for instance the special city things like Elon of Elona, etc.

I'm just curious. I'm no tech wizz, but since this is an online only game with live servers. How is it possible for injectors and code editors like cheat-engine to not immediately be detected as an 'Abnormal - Request' to the server and outright denied?

@@DjDragon5000 they used to check that and you got banned if you had cheatengine attached to gw2. but monitoring it would create privacy issues so they dont do it anymore

Most of the time these hacks are used for Jumping Puzzles and map completion.

the good thing, the biggest gw2 bot tools have been dying since 2021, there is a new "tool" being developed that might take the lead now again, but hey, hackers and bots will never die, such is the fate of MMOs, but we are a bit better than a few years ago, or at least I want to think that, ik that there was a banwave in 2018, not sure if there have been others, but I would love to see anet take a more active rol after the expansion launch. (still, bots are revenue since they buy licenses, so I'm not sure how active anet might be on the matter, lets just have hope it gets better since it damages the image of the game for new and existing players)

These hack apps exist for nearly every online game that exists. Good news is many of them are an instant ban since they inject themselves into the games memory. Bad news is some games have horrible cheat detection like in GW2. If Anet truly cared they would implement better cheat detection instead of relying on reports only. If you submit video evidence it's usually good enough to get them banned though. Go gettem DJ!!!

The video would be even better if u didnt show the page (well it is very known anyways) just showing the extent in which hacks can harm the game and how to identify them would be more than enough imo, still a rant is a rant, i understand that this video main focus wast to vent more than to educate. Hopefully ANET might take more anticheat measures in the future (u cant stop hackers, but there is no reason to make it easy). also, sorry for any misspell, English is not my mother language, hope u have a good day!

Thx, but I wanted Anet to be aware of it. not to promote the site. If people wants to use it, it's at their own risk. If people are not afraid to lose everything they have, this is their choices. Personally, I would be a lil bit angry if my account was ban... just to get a lil bit of WvW rewards.

I was accused of hacking on an evasion daredevil build that I had been playing since the HoT prepatch. Anet nerfed it shortly after that with higher skill cost, and slower endurance gain. It was a no stealth play style. It probably lasted a year longer than ghost trapper, even I despised that build
