That's such a weird mechanic when you think about it. You need one unit of ground troops anywhere on the map or your flying troops will lose morale and run away. I get that's it's there for gameplay reasons but it just seems so silly.

It's cowardly to run away, so if you're flying and avoiding combat you're loosing leadership

Otherwise someone could just run forever with a super fast flyer. The mechanic causes people to commit the unit into combat and finish the battle rather than flying around for 30 minutes and wasting everyone's time.
