Thank you for sharing this concept. I've been a huge believer in the power of laughter and friendship in business for several years, teaching it in my organization and enjoying the wonderful effects of seeing it develop in others.

That is very profitable, the fact that we have to focus on the positive side is something missing actually in almost everything in our daily live.

Why is the speaker standing on a prayer mat? Good talk but for consistency at TED a red circular rug would have been better.

Adrian Moten That's kind of the point of a thumbs down. It's a way of showing disagreement or disapproval. But I know what you mean. What good does that do? It is the challenging power. The only real disagreement I have with this guy's presentation, though I do not know if this was his message, was that positivity is not always better. I'd rather know the truth about reality rather than what sounds really nice. Sometimes hard truths are far more rewarding. Ignoring the negatives is to ignore a part of the whole.

Atheism isn't considered bad. How does Jesus work?
@neighbor196110 жыл бұрын
Religions ignore our good sides. Most religions stress that we're sinners. Jesus saves us from "Hell", a place God created for the people who ignore him or do not love him. He commands us to love him or else! How can I love a God like that! Atheists on the other had are interested in science. We try to understand the world, and we understand we are sometimes irrational, we do not go to hell because we hate God or some person. Yet, we usually encourage people to love their brethren because that´s a rational and positive thing to do. If you pay close attention to the lecture, he is urging us to look at to the good side of people and not the negative. Religions are usually conservative entities who do not foster positive changes in society. They are too preoccupied with our sexuality and do not do much to decrease the violence in the world. They worry too much about faith and too little about hunger or poverty.
