I've been playing ow for many years and I am a GM Lucio main. I encounter xim everyday but this is not the reason you're not ranking up, i hate xim as much as y'all maybe even more but the reason I felt in love with overwatch is that aim isn't the most useful skill to have, it definitely is more on ow2 but you could still win against xim with good cd / ult management, positioning, teamplay ect. I'm not sure the dps on the video are ximming, there is so many aim settings that it's hard to tell just from the aim. I often get call a ximmer when in reality I just have a high sens and changed my settings to be more ergonomic. They recently added a setting to change joysticks deadzone which makes your movement like a keyboard ( you go from 0 to 100 speed instantly with the slightest input on your joystick ) before that setting I used to check if people were ximming with their movement rather than their aim. Now it's been a bit more difficult even tho I think no one but me actually uses this new setting. Anyway just to say f*ck ximmers and please don't leave even against cheaters, you can learn from it. My favorite Bruce Lee quote sums it up perfectly : " To accept defeat, to learn to die is to be liberated from it "

Bro that sojourn is definitely ximming. Adjusting your deadzones doesn't give you aim acceleration that fast. Even if you linear or exponential by the time you adjust to move that fast aiming becomes almost impossible. Not while focused and steaffing but flicks near instant speed to instant is not controller

It makes harder thats the point its literally cheating and very problematic to deal with as a solo queue and im gm too, keep in mind not all ximmers are brain dead as you rank up they get better in positioning and in the game in general , play against a 76 with xim+ anti recoil mode + mercy pokt and dva dm its almost impossible to win

Im in elo hell with my duo who is plat and we simply cannot rank up its impossible to win sometimes. didn't even think about all the xims and zens so fun to be a console overwatch player yay!

Cheating is a problem, but you aren't stuck in Plat because of cheaters. It's simply not common enough to affect anyone that badly. And the truth is, even if it is, you can't change that. So the only thing you can do is act like it isn't happening, focus on what you can change, and just improve at the game.

Keeping it a buck, youre wrong. Not trying to hate im just telling you. In high elo, ~M3 and above, ximming is a huge issue. You get one every 1/3-4 games, its common and very noticeable, but in plat? Theres no chance. Im currently m3 on both Support and DPS, whereas my tank is mid diamond. I have not ran into a xim one time in ~10 hours of diamond games. I just dont think you know what a xim looks like, if im being real because that sojourn was not ximming. High elo DPS players use *extremely* high sens (usually 100, 100 with a lowered aim smoothing), this gives the players a twitching aim style when not shooting, but theyre mechanically gifted enough to slow and smooth it when actually shooting at somebody, which is exactly what that sojourn was doing. Ximming gives you extremely fast yet extremely *smooth* aiming all of the time, its very easy to tell when somebody is using a controller. There is a 0% chance that ximmers are a big enough problem for you in plat. I agree with your sentiment, ximming is an actual joke of a problem, but using personal anecdotes does not make for a great argument when you dont even know what a xim looks like, no disrespect. Again, no hate.

Yep I used to be top 10 on PlayStation pool, now it’s only console pool with Xbox as well and xim started off on Xbox… I’m now diamond and come across xim players alllll the time. I don’t care what anyone says about ‘that’s why you aren’t ranking up’, it’s a HUGE advantage, flicking on this game is so huge. Way worse

@@user-ez1qt7qz9h they added the mousetrap thing as well, but ik it’s still possible to get away with without getting banned, idk much about them but my top 500 coach who xims said there is different types and there is a type that you won’t get mousetrapped and that he hasn’t been banned for, but yeah there are people who were banned for it, but not all, not that they won’t, but that isn’t like the issue was hard fixed, it definitely has helped but it’s still a problem. As someone who’s mid masters currently, it’s definitely better but it’s by no means fixed or gone or people using Smurf accounts with it, although the mousetrapping is nice as well

Xim is a huge problem not only for console, but for pc players too, im pretty sure there are aimbots you can get on xim. Destiny 2 had the same problem, but the devs finally made it bannable to use xim there.

I agree getting suspensions for leaving QP matches is ridiculous. Also people who dont run into Xims are commenting. They make it so obvious. Their account has only 2 games played usually Overwatch or Fortnite. Completely default skins and icon. Often private career profile. If its public then its just an alt they use to boost losers so it has barely 2 hours of play time per season. I dont call out Xims unless ik for sure but sometimes they make it painfully obvious

The easiest and really only way to tell someone is ximming, is to look at their movement. They have MUCH less potential directions they can move than controller.

I use exp ramp. And there are lots of players with impossible aim. I watch the legit top 500 players and they dont aim like that. And this dude isn't saying he's stuck or bad because xim. He is right it's gotten really bad. There are tons of boosting services and they all have xim zen boosters. Lots of the time just smurfs on controller too. Ranked is screwed.
