I found out I had 2 golf ball size spots in my thyroid in early 2019. It was a completely random accident that led to being tested so I was very lucky. Had all the follow up testing and heard about how only 5 percent is cancerous but I knew all along mine was. I had it removed several months later and I have been feeling great ever since. I have had 0 side affects and I work just as much as I did prior. My surgery went extremely well and had basically no pain other than eating the first morning afterwards.

I just want to say thank you so much for the information you share your are so right I can't get any answers from the doctors I was finally recently been diagnosed with hoshimotos after I have been in bed for nearly 2 years I kept going back and forth to doctors until recently they finally tested my thyroid and found out. I still can't get any answers and had to go to you tube to find out about my illness. I'd been suffering with air hunger which is the worst thing I've ever experienced and they still did not know what was wrong I had to tell them it was a symptom of the illness I have finally been referred to a specialist after begging several times. I can't tell you enough how important your work is for people like me so thanx heeps for sharing all you do from the bottom of my heart x paula England

Great video and actually all of them. I am a new fan. Doc, I am into functional medicine and Integrative health. I have been studying both for years. I am not a doctor. That being said, I wonder if you would agree with my self- diagnosis of the origins of my anemia due to exactly iron deficiency as well as low free T3, but optimal of T4 and TSH. Pretty much I don't have anything else wrong with me and I have tested myself for many different things including gut issues with sensitivities more than ones. The only thing I have is slight candida I am trying ti get rid of woth probiotics and estrogen dominance. Other than that, elevated cortisol in the evening that makes me tired but wired and metabolically higher LDL and total but I have refused a statin and was able to lower it with diet, though it is still elevated. Trigs and HDL, insulin, A1C, great. That being said, do you think heavy metals can be the culprit of my iron deficiency and elevated free T3? I have run blood test and it didn't show any poisoning but i did have elevated zinc proplrifrin that doctors couldn't figure out reasons of . I tested my hair tissue 3 times and showed very high levels of lead as well as zinc through the roof, which i understand competes with iron. I have been trying to get rid of this. My electrolytes are also messed up. I thought it would be interesting for me to ask since you didn't mention heavy metals. Thank you

Iron deficiency could be from Blood loss, (ulcer, menstruation, infection) gut malabsorption problems, not enough red meat in diet. Those are my top things to rule out

I was having hair loss, sweating, feeling hot as well as other issues. Blood tests returned fine especially for me thyroid. However, I noticed a little lump on my neck and at times feeling like difficulty swollowing. Had CT and he said it is a lymphoid in my thyroid. And said it is fine. Didn’t have any idea what it meant. Was told by GP I may have to have ct every three months as well as thyroid blood test. Thank you for this information.

Great informative video. Thank you! I have multiple nodules (less than 1cm), but I have hypothyroid symptoms like hair thinning, hoarse voice (usually in the morning), brain fog, dry skin, cold intolerance. My thyroid is tiny - 8ml. My TSH is optimal, but FT3 and FT4 are - below the normal range and on the lower end. My WBC is low as well. What do you think about that? I've heard about Ord's disease. Could you say something more about that?

Can Flonase, that blocks all the different allergens the label states, block food allergies also? I have had depression/anxiety and brain fog/agitation for decades and I started using Flonase a few months ago and I have never felt so good. 3 or 4 decades wasted and I never knew. I listened to your old videos on food allergens and the whole question smacked me in the head. Lol. I am relaxed, can think very clear now, no depression or anxiety, amazing concentration, etc. I never had watery eyes or sneezing, runny nose etc, but just decided to try it one day and it's been unbelievable. My thoughts were that the active ingredient is blocking one of the allergens that was messing with me.

What about a growing nodule with Herthle cells with a history of Hashimotos? My endo is recommending a hemithyroidectomy, but I am hesitant. He did say it is shifting my trachea, but I would still rather keep my whole thyroid. I do have anterior neck pain and difficulty swelling some foods, but it's not as bothersome as surgery would be. I think he is worried that it is Herthle Cell Carcinoma.

I commented on one of your videos about feeling worse after taking the thyroid meds. I did not mention on there that I've had a severe cough and clearing of my throat for years. Its been really bad for a year. I was only diagnosed 2 weeks ago with hypothyroidism and they slapped me on Levoxirine. My cough is so bad and its not coming from my lungs. Its a dry hack of a cough. I hate this. I believe i have Hashimotos but I don't know how to bring that up to the doctor

Is it possible for a nodule to be pressing against the glossopharyngeal nerve causing neuralgia? I had a FNA and it *precisely* triggered my neuralgia pain. I am newly diagnosed with celiac disease and am hoping I can reduce the overall inflammation to prevent the pain naturally. (Diagnosed celiac exactly 10 years after hypothyroid/Hashimoto’s.)

I have a multi nodular goiter on my thyroid.. I’ve had it for awhile.. my blood test showed that my thyroid levels were a little elevated so they put me on medicine.. at first only low dose like 25 and it wasn’t working so they up the dose to 50.. haven’t had it checked since.. but I think my hair is getting thinner.. gained weight.. get choked easy on food, drinks and even my own spit quite often.. I didn’t use to do that.. I also take deep breath’s all of sudden out of nowhere.. didn’t use to do that either.. feel tired as well.. Could getting choked and taking deep breaths all of sudden out of nowhere be because of the goiter?
@DrRichardHagmeyer Жыл бұрын
It’s tough to say, depends on how big goiter is.

@janehusted9570 I've had the nodules on my thyroid since 2015 I've had it monitored for 8 years it has grown to 5cm now they want me to remove it, because it chokes me a bit when I sleep on the pillow in a certain position lol I'm like no way, if there's no cancer ill deal with it. So I have a appointment tomorrow to see of it has cancer 🙏 hope that helps!

Is it possible for a vascular thyroid nodule to cause some type of carotid blockage or shunting? I've been experiencing near Syncope and dizziness. I've been researching Subclavian STEAL syndrome and I'm not sure how common this would be related to vascular nodules?

I went ro my doctor. He told me that my tyroid levels are normal but my throid antibodies are high what does that mean?
@bettysmith45273 жыл бұрын
Its means you may have an autoimmune thyroid disease, but your thyroid is still able to function normally. You prob ably have what I have, which is euthyroid Hashimotos.

What if u have enlarge nodules and yet your t3 t4 and tsh is normal?
@DrRichardHagmeyer5 жыл бұрын
When you say normal are you saying normal Functional levels or "normal" lab ranges ? there is a difference. drhagmeyer.com/dr-hagmeyer-explains-functional-ranges-for-thyroid-lab-testing/
I’m so glad you made this video. It was breath of fresh air. I have a multi-nodular thyroid. FNA was negative (twice). My endo is adamant on getting my entire thyroid removed. He can’t give me a good reason for it other than he just wants it out. I know if I have symptoms to warrant removal, of course I’ll need it out. However, all of my labs are ‘normal’ but my TSH is not optimal. My last TSH was 2.8. I’m so scared that I will never be the same happy person if I go through with this. I’ll do whatever I can do to preserve my thyroid.
