As a mom with older children, I can promise you that you will never regret shifting to the home and raising those babies. What an honor and privilege it is to be moms.. and to be good stewards of our homes is the greatest calling and career we could ever have. This is such a blessing Jill ❤

Jill this is absolutely beautiful! This is so heavy on my heart and something I so deeply desire. What an incredibly blessing that He is calling you into this position. Bringing a new little one into your home will help force the shift to a slower living. That fresh baby smell and teeny tiny toes will bring so much joy and love into this transition. You are absolutely worthy, Jill! Praise The Most High for his provisions through it all! ❤

A , Jill. Thank so much for sharing this. It hit home. I’m in my seventies now. Feeling burnt out, exhausted, and all. I’ve always been the one out in front… leading whatever crew I was on… doing 3 farmers markets, festivals, running a farm, working as a critical care nurse… yeah. Finally learning that washing dishes is a valuable thing, and a meditation in and of itself. Not being able to do all this.. I felt so very vulnerable and un worthy. Had a turnaround, to find joy again. That I do have value. That my family feels the love we all share. They are the treasures. The birds in morning, weeding in the garden, while the bees work, watching the deer.. thank you dear one. For saying it❤

Your being called to be MOM…what an honor. He calls you to the hard things (for you) so you become more dependent on HIM. As a mom of 7 now adult kids, you will never regret it. Pour yourself into it. Flow, don’t force.

Praise God that you listened to what He had to say Jill! There is nothing more thankful to Him than raising your kids, that He has given you, to know Him and loving them and your husband as He loves all of you. When you do what God wants, it is no longer a burden once you lay down your own ambitions that may not be His.

Jill sweetheart, I sat here and bawled like a baby while listening to this video twice….I’m almost 75 years old and you touched my heart and soul! I wish I had been blessed with the depth of feeling you have when I was younger. I adore my kids (boy and girl…..almost 51 and almost 48…when I was your age. I had no clue about a garden or healthy eating, etc…..I was a stay at home mom all their growing up years, but I wanted to be the best mom in the world! We didn’t know about all the horrid things they put in food and how bad it was for us. Fast food…..my kids adored Taco Bell….and McDonalds…..I had no clue….the guilt is bad. Thankfully my son became a chef and teaches culinary arts now. My daughter, no matter how I’ve tried with her, still buys fast food a LOT for her 3 kids…I’ve tried to talk to her and she just gets mad. I pray her kids don’t pay the price because it’s SO much worse now than when mine were young. God bless you, your husband and all your children! May you all live the healthy lives you deserve! I’m so happy to see young people like you knowing about herbs, fresh home grown food, etc…..I’m starting to try to learn how to make sourdough bread…..I grow lots of herbs and as much veggies as I can. You, Kaylee and Jess have been a big influence on me and I thank you! I just wish someone would have clued us in earlier! Bless you all! ❤❤❤

I can’t tell you how seen I feel. I’m 34 and have had so many hobbies and careers and am now a stay at home mom. It is the most beautiful dream ever but no one talks about the mental transition and identity death that happens when you become a mother. Thank you for embracing your slow season. My beloved hobbies are abandoned and the house isn’t shiny clean but my daughter laughs and smiles all day long as I never leave her side. Thank you. I wish I could see more stories like this.💚

I just started my first ever yeast aka sourdough starter. Day 1 and I hope it all goes well. For some reason, I understood it. The yeast, the water and the flour, the vessel and food. I get it. Finally I understand yeast. 😂 God works in mysterious ways. Living for Jesus, loving his father. The fact that we can breath, hear birds, see plants grow, smell and taste good food.... Looking at my children's tiny heads and feet at 10pm at night. Loving every facet of life AND living for HIM.The way HE wants me too, without a doubt and all faith. 🙏 It's a mighty good feeling. Girl, the Proverbs 31 woman is a great 'theme' to think of right now. Especially in this season, we all need to be intentional about nurturing and loving our families - no matter what season. Good 'devotional' thoughts right here… I'm entering a yet different season having just entered my 75th yr! My husband and I are moving 1,000 miles away from our 'current life' and ministry to be closer and near our family. At this point in our lives, it feels like an enormous endeavor…just as any other 'birthing season'. You've got this - God bless you and your family, including your new sweet baby boy!

Phew 😭😭 you have NO idea how timely this was for me. I don’t even normally watch you on KZbin, mainly Instagram. I just saw your reel and felt like I should go watch the video. As I was doing laundry I bawled. As a stay at home mom, I have been asking God what more he has for me. What can I do to better help my family and help alleviate all the burden of supporting us on my husband. As just as you said, there are so many days I feel less than, or that I can be doing more. But literally ever word you said was just so confirming that I am where I am suppose to be in this season of life. Homeschooling, baking the bread, growing the food, and pouring into my kiddos. I have a 10 and 6 year old and the years are so so short. But your words just helped reinstall that joy and purpose into what I have been doing, so thank you for listening to Him and sharing with us your heart.

My kids are pre teen and 16, I'm still being called to attend to my home. This year I'm feeling from God that food, gardening and slowing down is what I need to work on! I'm learning all of this from youtube and books, its hard learning how to cook and preserve, sometimes very overwhelming. My sourdough doesn't always work out or my canning is a fail but I keep trying. Herbs and making medicinal products have been my favorite! So almost 20yrs into learning marriage, kids, homesteading, God wants us to just keep trying and learning, its also a great knowledge we get to teach our kiddos!

Enjoy your family! You're bringing to light a wonderful conversation that we all should be having. I was a stay at home Mom for 12 years while my children were young and in hind sight, I loved it. Was it easy watching the world go around while I was at home, technically, no...but I am going on 67 years this summer and my two beautiful children are now 39 and 42 and are wonderful human beings in and of themselves. It was all worth it. Now I get to help out with my three grandchildren and the pure JOY that rises up in me is such a beautiful feeling. To be able to see them grow and be happy little ones, while I help out with folding their clothes, cooking, cleaning for them, and reading them bedtime stories as I did my two when they were young is priceless. Embrace this beautiful change that you are feeling. God Bless you and your family!

Jill, this message could not have come at a better time. I have been struggling so badly mentally and physically recently because I am so burned out. I hurt my back about 2 months ago and have been home on disability. I’ve been tending my home and garden and resting and I have been so happy. Went back to work yesterday and I’m miserable again. My back hurt so much this morning that I had to stay home again and this video popped up. What scares me is my job is very well paying and we need it to make ends meet. But I know I need to come back home.

You've spoken to my heart today. I had 3 kids, and was starting to work some in my chosen field. My youngest was starting kindergarten. Then I got pregnant again, and I was so upset for a few months. I didn't want to do that again. Now she is 6 months old and a joy. My husband travels for work so I simply can't do it all. I have a hard time resting as well. I have always associated my worth with productivity. Now I have to reframe. You caught me while I was on the couch folding laundry at 730 am with 4 kids around me... texting my supervisor that I will not be able to return to work. I feel sad but also relief. Thanks for the vulnerability. ❤

I'll be praying for both of us during this season! God is so good and I know he'll provide for us! ❤ I love your openness and boldness! Thank you!

Beautifully spoken!! 🥰I have always said this: pretend your child is a piece of pottery and every SINGLE day you have to work that piece of pottery, molding it to its perfection, so that someday you can finish the piece and set it in eyes way on a shelf that you look @ every single day for the rest of your life….you wanna be able to stand back and be proud of your piece of work and say YESSSS I DID IT, ITS BEAUTIFUL🙌🏼🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟$$$ my dear can’t buy that!! Only YOU can make that! Loved this video, well spoken and best wishes upon you and that sweet family of yours😍investment into family alwaysss has a return!!

Aww we are expecting number 8 and homesteading/living a more traditional life.. and having good community is so helpful in being home/doing all these things! Being a stay at home mother is the most important role in our society-which is why the devil is attacking so hard! Prayers for you!

I so regret working so much when my kids were little. Raising those babies is the most important job any of us moms can do. My daughter realizes the importance of being an intentional mom to her 4 month old. She makes me so proud of the Mom she is. It is hard to slow down in this rat race. Thank you for the message that is so important for these young moms to hear .

I'm the mama at 25 weeks pregnancy with my 7th kid who is trying to fall asleep after a 10 hour shift cause we need two incomes. My heart would rejoice at the ability to "just be a homemaker". I pray every day that God will open doors and clear our paths for me to more fully "return home". There are so many external careers and projects that sound exciting and that i know i could be very good at. But i don't need those things. I'm so grateful for my job. I'm satisfied that this is my season. But i am pretty sure I'm ready for whenever God sees fit to let me lean more into my home. I only hope i can be patient if it will take many more years. I'm trying to do the best i can at what i feel is important. I do well with my work, but i also value home life and I'm so glad i have an employer that sees me as a human with a home life. That's how they get my loyalty and good efforts in my work. Cause i can be done when i clock out. If i could get some healing for my body, i know i could lean into my home more. As it is, home duties take a physical effort and stamina that my job doesn't require. Anyone that reads my comment, i hope you'll pray for me and my health so i can heal and have the strength and energy and stamina to do even more in my home.

I was a SAHM for about 7 years when my kids were young, and then slowly transitioned into working outside the home. We never lived an extravagant life - no nice houses or cars or vacations, etc. Both my kids were raised in a family bed and breastfed for multiple years, we had a large garden and I cooked a lot from scratch. Today my adult children describe their lives growing up as perfect, although they eventually did have a mom and dad who worked outside the home. My career working in hospital labs was one that I loved and was valuable to my community and that did not diminish my devotion to my family. So I would say to all those out there who cannot or do not want to stay home all the time, for whatever reason (and there are many valid ones) to let go of the guilt and make the very most of the life you have now. If it's not what you want or you feel called to, then work on that and perhaps is it time for a big shift, but also lean into the joy that already can exist in many aspects of your life. But as Jill mentioned, whatever you do, it is not about proving your worth to anyone else through your job status or income or fame or stuff you accumulate. You are worthy already and that is something that we all need to slow down sometimes and realize and embrace.

Thank you Jill that was beautiful!! I agree 💯 a lot of us are feeling that feeling of that slower paced life and being with the ones we love. Thankful for our Yawah that shows us the way and helps guide us to make the right decisions. You are a beautiful soul Jill, and I appreciate you. ❤️

I’m 2 days late to watch this and it just so happened this is the day I needed to see it❤ I visited my mom in the hospital she’s catatonic and going to get shock therapy to see if it’ll help then I just came home and went into my garden then cooked dinner and back to gardening and finally sat down to fold laundry and turned this on and I want to thank you for this video! I really needed it today!! ❤ I’m going to have to not work 5 days a week because I have to help my mom out of the situation she’s in right now it’s not just the fact that she’s sick it’s a whole other problem with my uncle taking advantage of this whole situation and we just need some prayers please!!
