They do two takes. One with full squad except Rowan. Then one with greenscreen Rowan where he needs to guess where they are looking and talking in angle and time. Easy to do with video playbacked for him. You rotorscope out Rowan and paste him as overlay set to say 50% transparancy with blue-ish Hue. Done. You can see some parts where Rowan walks behind teammates or is behind some type of cover they do a rough cut of the scenery or the person and paste it in front of him. That's also the reason why the camera movement is always static, because movement complicates the video perspective tremendously. The lighting and exposure on Rowan doesn't have to be realistic, since he is a ghost. But they do need good directional lighting. Which they achieved.

There was also a time where in duos my friend and I (one of the same ones who was in squad with me in this story you also say didn't happen) had zero contact at all until there were 33 people left. We were driving up a hill for a good vantage point, only to run into two other teams who didn't know the other team was up there. A three way fight immediately broke out which killed my friend, but I survived. I killed two or three of them, can't remember exactly and there's good reason for it. So I won the hill and sat up there while my friend stayed in spectator mode to help spot for me. The thing about my friend? She's color blind (this was before PUBG had color blind support). In her own words, PUBG was like watching single black smudges run across an all green screen, so she was a REALLY good spotter. Call out after call out, using my Kar to just drop people. I ended up winning with 11 kills, my highest kill game up to that point (my best now is 13). BUT, the way I look at that, remember how I said there were 33 people left? Since I finished with 11 kills, and had no kills prior, that means you could've lined up every single person that was still left alive at that point and there would've been a 33% chance that I killed them. Believe me, don't believe me, I don't care, my friends and I know it happened ad it's hilarious to us. Cause the logic in this video is real XD
