I understand that cats are good for some people, my fiance has 2 and they adore her and she adores them naturally, I'm a dog person and I always will be, her Burmese tries to make a connection with me and I try to do the same with her. It's been made abundantly clear from the moment we met that all her animals and her are a package and I accept that because I adore this wonderful woman, but what do you do when you have never been a cat person your entire life? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I would say try not t think of it in terms of being or not being a dog or cat person, try looking at the cat as an extension of the family, or like say, a puppy. How would you interact with a puppy? At he end of the day all any pet wants is to love and be loved so try coming at it for that angle.
