Except he's doing it in a comedic 'serious' way though, where you can tell its a skit. And she does it in a proper serious drama way or real-to-life way. To be able to do the former you need an underlaying comedy baseline, but the latter needs the actual real reality to draw from that the actor relates to otherwise it wont be able to be expressed genuinely.
