For real, and women will say that men are picky and judgmental…sure we won’t date just anyone (well actually sadly with how well women have monopolized modern dating some men WILL date anyone and just thank their lucky stars a living breathing woman expressed some interest in them…) but at least we don’t disqualify women for ridiculous things like height, hair, job, etc. women like these are doing guys a huge favor by exposing themselves as shallow narcissists early on.

It’s so dumb. I’ve been friendzoned by quite a few girls in school. I’m 27 with a full time job now. I work weekends and hardly have time to go out. I recently moved to another state and have yet to make any in person friends. I’ve tried dating apps. Only girl i talked to for 6 months, blocks me. Even though we made plans on meeting up. I might stay single until i make some changes. We’ll see though.

@M3l_0N666 Жыл бұрын
Heh, yet even a life of pristine and integrity comes at a Cost. It doesn't always mean its the right thing to be, do or choose because life is funny. Take it from me, having built a life and becoming a pillar to the community people perceive me as too serious, too proper, strict, and that i am unwavering, and indeed its all true, but i appear as a wall they cannot scale or breach and dont even attempt to to just know me casually because i intimidate them. Its a loney life, and i envy those who never needed to fight so damn hard because life turned out differently for them, or that perhaps they lack so much self awareness that they feel no shame to just let it all hang out. I care too much about how i am perceived and being a good person has given me less and less. And i fear if i broke free from this, that i would be that one stupid shit to whom luck gives no favor, and whatever i do beyond myself will blow up in my face. Because it has before. So take it from, some things no matter how positive it may be known as in the minds of society, life will fk us over regardless. Its all artificial concepts anyway, and life doesnt give a damn how good or bad we are. Only that our stupidity sees us successful or dead, its all a roll of the dice.
@smenging7280
@smenging7280 Жыл бұрын
@@M3l_0N666 my friend seek your god, we don't live in integrity because we expect to get good things comes to us, we do it because the alternative is bad. If you are being a pillar and expecting good things to come, look into yourself and rethink your standing. Being good is hard, and its not about doing it so you can get back in return. If you are getting less and less perhaps it is not the best way to be good.... as for your final point "Its all an artificial concepts" or... perhaps... Its all real. Life doesnt care if we are good or bad, but your soul will. When you decide to be good, to be strong, dangerous but disciplined your soul, your being will be different. It is only from this position of good that we can make some incredible constructive progress in our own lives and in our society. Our life is short and it easy to think that it don't matter what we do,... but it does because you have to look at how rare life is, and see it as a gift not the just the burden, as the burden of life itself is a gift from the cosmo. To experience good and bad, to experience life.

@melon9680 late reponse, but what you're saying is completely true, and God tells us to take our failures with Grace. Without grace we become bitter and lose sight of what is really important especially when time gets hard or betrayal is met. This is to be expected with life as you say. But we can choose to take on these time with grace, to look at situation with optimism, so that we have courage to fight the battles that matters. Anyway I'm just a guy on the internet.

@paulinejackson5861 no real self-respecting man or woman would put up with their partner not committing to them fully, and thus they will not tolerate themselves committing to their partner fully. A good marriage is not 50/50 it's 100% from both side. If you choose to be with that person, you must help with the redemptions of his failures and he should do the same for you. To exploit your partners insecurely for a hope of finding another and better partner is just unreasonable. Why not leave, save the person the cut of the betraying knife.

My son hates the concept of relationships because he has had a lot of rejections. He just shuts down at the thought of it. Friend zoning is a horrible thing for men to go through. It makes a lot of men turned off to the idea of a relationship that they would rather be alone or have a dog. I can't say on levels I blame them. I can't say I blame my son either, and he's going to turn 27 very soon. He used to be fit and let himself go really badly. Like he gained over 120 pounds and doesn't care anymore and it breaks my heart as a mom. He's such a sweetheart to women and is always willing to help out in anyone's life regardless of the issue. Now, he just smokes E Cigs a lot and cries himself to sleep at times. I act like I don't hear it but it hurts me too. I pray to God that someone will see him as more than a friend but honestly, I don't know. It's sooooo different from when I dated and that was thirty years ago. Maybe he is right. Maybe his generation is destined to fail due to social media. God help us.

God..I'm living the exact same life as your son. Almost feels like my mom wrote it.Started smoking e-ciggs 2 months ago, even tho I've never smoked before. Girl I've met online and known for almost 6 months, broke up with me right before we were supposed to meet for the first time. We've talked almost daily, always had a lot of fun together bcs of the sense of humour we shared. And I felt like were really connected, we were always there for each other. She was the sweetest, smartest, funniest person I've ever met, she helped me through a lot and always tried to help with any problem I had. We shared all the high and also the lows together. And then, when I felt like on the top of the world, finally healed my past traumas, she broke up with me out of nowhere. Don't get it till this day, she never explained why or she did in a way that didn't really make sense to me. I thought maybe I put too much pressure on her because of the first date outside the online. But she seemed so excited when I asked her out, told me how she loves me and that she can't wait for it..And boom, all of it gone in an instant, all the memories together.. The e-ciggs I smoke rn serves as a memory of her in a way, because she was the one who smoked them and it's the only way I feel like she is still with me.... I sometimes imagine we are talking together. Whenever I'm dealing with something I'm thinking: "What would she say"?..Sounds crazy but that's how it is..But that's just life I guess. And the crying to fall asleep just hits home.. even crying right now writing all this.. Maybe it's time to just move on. Lay down the e ciggs alongside my love for her.. Maybe we all should just keep moving forward and stop wasting our time by crying over things we can't change anymore. It's hard but necessary. Thank your for your comment, writing this response made me realize lot of things. Be strong. And wish u and your son the best.

Guy here, gonna play Devil's advocate. Let's be real, not ALL women are the superficial ones, that's an exaggeration. However, it would make a lot of sense that a life situation in which this is the case for a sizeable amount of men is fairly common. Common enough for it to seem like the norm. As for why, I have no idea, my personal theory is that men tried being superficial for the centuries that have passed and it went predictably badly over time. I saw a woman in the comments saying something along the lines of "maybe women don't wanna be with a bum" and my first thought was a guy doesn't need to be fuckin' rich to be well off. There's a reason why a woman wants a man with 3 Lamborghinis, two swimming pools and a mansion instead of a guy that has an okay car, a nice small home with an inflatable pool that he got from Walmart. Cause most Women are materialistic and all about status and she feels like being with a rich guy raises her status too and it makes her feel special or she just might divorce him and take most of what he owns for herself.

Nah. My wife loved me when we were young, broke, and didn't have anything. Now we're both doing well financially and career-wise. Those women exist, they are usually snatched up young though (Early to mid 20s). People don't tend to break up with those women and those women tend not to break up for foolishness.

Was best friends with the most amazing guy for over a year, and knew I loved everything about him, and could see that there was an attraction he had building towards me as well. Eventually he asked me to be his girlfriend, and I told him no. It was the most heartbreaking thing in the world to do, but I explained to him that while I wanted to date him, I wouldn't be a good girlfriend at the time. I was dealing with a ton of un-addressed trauma, fighting chronic illness, trying to finish my last semester of college, and was dealing with some seriously messy family issues. We stayed close and I did a lot of work on myself over the course of that year, graduated, finally found a solid treatment for my chronic illness, and got things sorted with family. Ended up telling him I was still in love with him, but would completely understand if he felt differently after all the time that had passed, and I was just thankful for his being in my life and would respect whatever he wanted fully. We met for breakfast the next day, and turns out he'd never stopped thinking about me either. We've been together for 7 years now and just got married last year. Glad I said no the first time, as hard as it was: I was in no mental place to give him everything that he deserved and it wasn't his job to "fix" me. We were still the right ones for each other after those months of healing and waiting, and I think our relationship started in a much healthier place because of my choice.

For story 14, i felt that. I'm a guy but i have a similar story. I had a best friend for many of my school years. We had split apart for a while but during senior year we were being freindly to eachother like in the old days. I had developed feelings for her and i didn't say anything or go anyfurther with them. I didn't want to ruin our friendship and thought it was too later. I also wasn't sure if she had feelings for me and didn't want to make the same mistake i did with my first crush (long hateful story). I now realized that she did have feelings when we were younger and might have still. It has been 4 years and i'm still kicking myself you that mistake (among others). Even though i regret that mistake i wouldn't change it'l, because i don't think i deserve her.

At the time, i felt like i wasnt good enough because i had not moved on from that previous relationship and had not healed yet - was still picking up the pieces of myself and trying to get my life back together. This man was someone who would have been an incredible husband and i honestly really wanted to be with him but when he asked, i said no with the assuption there was still time in this world for us. Well, ive never been more wrong in my life, and id give almost anything to have even just those last 2 weeks with him. He was only 25, handsome, smart, fit, mature, and really listened when i spoke. I only know one girl from high school who probly doesnt. She made me seem like a stalker only because she wouldnt say Yes or No when i asked her if she'd wanna go on a date. It was always, " I'll think about it" or "maybe" i only asked 2 or 3 times which was once a week till i gave up.

14:50 they really thought he’d come back to the store he got rejected at. Lol. They were both out of touch with the effects of rejection.

Is it me or these stories are either "stupid reason for a rejection but it wasn't me who rejected the guy" or "it was me personally but I had a good reason for rejection back then"?

Nah I think that’s the majority of these stories: a bunch of rationalizations for bitter old bettys

I rejected a guy because I couldn’t deal with the age difference even when he was only two years younger than me. I was traumatised. I didn’t want to be like my uncle and aunt. After that, he got into sports and became an entrepreneur. People say that he’s egoistic but i think he’s just done being what everybody wanted him to be. I admire him for that. I wish we could’ve ended up like friends. He ignores me completely now tho so that ship sailed

I am girl I was confessed in high school by guy friend but I don’t know why but I felt nothing not joy, anger just nothingness. I really felt bad that I felt nothing because I know with a confession of love you are suppose feel something anything. The next day, I told the truth that I didn’t feel the same way and focusing on school and didn’t want to manipulate him he deserve better than that I seen that happen personally I didn’t want to do it on others. Months later, I went to a different community college then and found out from a former friend of his but a friend of mine that “He was a complete jerk in high school and I stopped being friends with him and he became even worse in community college the sister college of mine because his mom worked there. So I found out I dodged a bullet on that one. My heart was protecting me from someone not good for me.

Sometimes it's the rejection that makes the guy they regretted saying no to
