Looking at the house, the horse, and which kids were adopted, this could be my standard playthrough.

Well this is standard for most players. 1) Lakeview manor has most beautiful scenery and you will receive offer to buy that land first. In some playthrough even before Breezehome. Manors are also relatively cheap, because you can acquire most of materials from nature itself. Other Manors are quite shitty. Especially that near Morthal. Also although Manors could be cheap, they are time or money consuming to fully equip. Without mods or cheat, majority of players can afford to do so only in one manor and obviously first one, with best scenery in temperate climate is number one choice. 2) Shadowmere is by far best horse in game (strength, health and stamina wise) and you get it during most interesting questline. It is also easily observable in majority of Skyrims enviroment, which is important for those, who does not use horse mods with horse call ability. So it is obvious choice of majority of players. 3) Adopting Lucia and Sofia is nobrainer. First, you meet them early in game, because Lucia is in first major City you visit in fluid gameplay and Sofia in second one. Second, they are both homeless sleeping OUTSIDE. This is horrible especially for Sofia in freezing nad snowy Windhelm! Another two homeless kids are those boys from Dawnstar and Solitude, but Dawnstar boy sleeps in inn (yet on the floor) and Solitudes boy sleeps with horses in stables. So much more comfy than our girls. And third, they are girls. Majority of Skyrim players are males. And males has protection instinct towards females. So when you can adopt only 2 children, and only 2 of 8 (23) Orphaned children sleeps outside in the cold and they are both girls, it is quite easy to predict, who it will be 😀

On my playthroughs, I don't adopt them until I can give the one in Windhelm a dragon bone dagger that is enhanced. And food for the journey... a lot of food... lol.

​@@tomascernak6112 I was about to say the same thing about the girls. They're alone and homeless. How can you NOT adopt them? The way Sofie begs you to buy her flowers so she can eat is heartbreaking. I adopt Lucia immediately and let her live in Breezehome until I have Lakeview built. Then I move there and go to get Sofie. I wish we could have 3 though because I want to adopt Alessan in Dawnstar too. He has a steady job delivering food from the tavern, but he's still alone (unlike Blaise in Solitude, who has the stable owners looking after him). But, like you said, the girls seem more vulnerable and those protective instincts kick in. I just like to hope Alessan grows up alright and continues to have a legit way to earn money.

Nah, it would be impossible to play that game since children as unkillable and eternally hostile children will mean you can't fast travel as it will show enemies nearby, will always get attacked by kids relentlessly and you can do nothing about it.

@@nightmaremaster7731 Really? All of them? Because normal approach is to have one main house for storing shit, and other houses, although fully equipped, are used only for sleeping (survival). But this apply only for houses, which are closer to town gate than inns. If inn is closer (Solitude, Windhelm, Markarth) or there is no player home in that city (all minor holds), then you sleep in inn because 10 golds for room is nothing. Plus after wake up you buy food, because inkeeper is standing by your bed😀 Also i wonder, what exactly you are doing in shithole called Windstad manor. It is literally in the middle of nowhere. Ugly location and weather. And its proximity to water usually prevent fast travel, because of pesky Slaughter fishes. I barely visit 4-5 houses. So if children would be annoying to me, I will have plenty options to keep them at distance.
