Watching your kids grow up is never easy... but what happens when your son becomes your... "Father"?!
We sat down with Rick and Mary Machado to talk about what it's like to be the parents of a newly ordained priest, and to reflect on the gift of fatherhood - especially the spiritual fatherhood of our priests!

Congratulations. Beautiful and profound. Our youngest son is a religious in his third year after first vows, living in Spain. He will be in a parish on the East Coast after a brief family visit this summer. Please pray for us.

My son is a seminarian at Mount Saint Mary. Glad to know that we aren't the only ones who are thinking/feeling these things!

God is good. What a blessing for your family and the body of Christ to have your son answer the call to the Priesthood. In my parish in Little Rock over the past there have been 7 or 8 have been ordained to he Priesthood and 4 more are in formation. We firmly believe that the 24 hr Adoration of our Lord in our chapel has done wonderful things for our parish.
