The background vocals are sung by Rita Quintero (and Shakira of course) as credited in the booklet of the album, Gloria Estefan is only credited as songwriter for the lyrics of the English version, the Spanish lyrics are only Shakira's.

Excelente reacción. Ese tema de Shakira es un himno para los latinoamericanos, los instrumentos que fusionó pertenecen a la música folclórica latinoamericana. Charango, quenas y bombo legüero

some epic noises in this song! The acapella by itself is on youtube and its honestly poetry lol her backing vocals are orgasmic Shakiras vocal tones are amazing.. She has this feline pop sound mixed with Operatic power pushes chucking in yodelling techniques every now and then... You can see as soon as she sings in her mother tongue she has even more god-like control Not to mention the fkn lyrical translation Gloria did- its goddamn heavy and animalistic- completely encapsulates lust, power, confidence, vulnerability all at the same time Its so satisfying when you start adding more stems in- i could just spend hours feeling like a DJ doing that. This song is super underrated because of how overrated it was at the time- it became more of a joke song/ ear worm because of its overplay on radio. Theres sooo much production in here Id love to see you look into one of Lana Del Reys songs! Where do you even find these broken down so much?

Yo! This is SO cool! More of this multi-talented singer-songwriter and producer, please! BTW, Tim Mitchell is her long-time guitarist and musical director especially during her shows. They’ve been friends and working together since the 90s. And Gloria Estefan was basically her “music godmother”, and her and her husband were instrumental in breaking Shakira into the American and English market. Also, it’s funny how you’ve broken down the song into different instruments, but I can still hear Shakira’s signature sounds all over, lol.

Oh my gosh, thank you so much for analysing Shakira's Whenever Wherever! I never thought I'd get to hear the raw multitracks but you have made my dream come true. This song was different when I first heard it - I couldn't quite figure out where to place it because it has a rich sound that brings together instruments from all across the world and Shakira has a unique voice. I remember rushing out to buy Laundry Service after hearing this and my mum must have gotten tired of me playing this particular song on repeat, like a lot of the others from the album, even on Christmas 😄 I keep repeating parts of your video again. This was a joy to listen to. I loved listening to each instrument and even though the song may not be recognisable with just some of the percussion on its own, it still made me want to move. This song definitely has some spirit to it and it's apparent in every track that was created for this song. Thanks for sharing.

This session is incomplete, as are some of the other Shakira ones that have leaked (like Ojos Así). Notice that some key instruments aren’t present, like the drum kit (I know Ojos Así is missing drums, bass, electric guitar, etc.). My theory is that these stem packs are sourced from her live concert productions, and were mainly officially used to fill in sounds and instruments not done by her live band (since she only ever has one percussionist, one drummer, one or two bassists, one guitarist, one keyboardist, sometimes a violinist - a solid ensemble, but there are still plenty of other exotic sounds that need to be heard in addition to them). This theory is further supported by the fact that some of the leaked packs - mainly Ojos Así and Hips Don’t Lie - are the songs’ live arrangements, not the album version ones (and Ojos Así in particular has a very different live version compared to its album counterpart). Plus the name of some tracks like “confetti boom” in Whenever, Wherever, which would’ve indeed been used when, well, they’d shoot out confetti. Granted, there’s still plenty to explore, and you still get a solid idea of the songs and their complexities. But some of the main tentpole instruments aren’t present since they would’ve been done live to these tracks. I would be very curious to hear your thoughts on Ojos Así, since it’s wonderfully layered and that live arrangement is just spectacular (often preferred by fans over the original album one), but if I were you, I’d also check out a live recording of the song so you can hear the tracks filled in with her live band. For Ojos Así, this would be the performance those tracks would correspond to: m.kzbin.info/www/bejne/ZoucqGupZ9FrhK8

Where did you sorce these from? Also what's the sample rate and bit depth on them? I'd assume CD 44.1KHZ 16 bits. But perhaps more. I mean I don't know if DAWs in 2002 could do 24 bits Blu Ray audio. Also see this is why I think music should be done and listened to in full 35 channal Dolby Atmos surround sound.
@luffegun2 жыл бұрын
Alot of the files i source have been compressed in some way or rendered out as "remix stems" therefore alot of them are 16bit 44.1K and every now and again i get some 24bit 48K files. im not sure what this session is in but im sure youtubes compression would crush it to death anyway. thanks so much for watching MrHamit64
@MrHamit642 жыл бұрын
@@luffegun Yeah it's hard to tell as it sounds like youdon't hav a direct difinitive sorce. But if you're saying any of the WAVs for this song were 48 24 then perhaps it was indeed 48 24. This is 1 of my favorite songs. I think the only 1 I liked from her.
@MrHamit642 жыл бұрын
@@luffegun Again also this is why songs should be multi channal. cause to use your words stereo as you've seen crushes the song to death. I was surprised at all the multi channal potential after listening to songs on Pop Deconstructed and other channals. The song that surprised me the most at how much it had was Britney Spears Give Me More.
