My 7 year old is constantly wasting food. I told him there are kids that would dig the wasted food out of our trashcan and gladly eat it. He couldn't believe it, so I finally showed him different videos of malnourished children, living in the slums. Skin and bones, crying bc they are starving and some dying bc of lack of medication and food and bc of contaminated water. I just want my son to be thankful for what he has. I want him to understand why we pray and thank God for our food and for everything we have. I know he's only 7 but I want him to be thankful for what he does have.

So many Asian kids are hungry and homeless but Asian kids don't receive aids. You don't see a hungry Asian kid with a westerner vouching for his survival with a sad music playing in the background. Instead you see western media and youtubers openly making fun of them. So kids as young as 7 years old work and sustain the entire family. Who knows, a lot of the things that you are wearing right now might have tears and pain from an Asian kid. Asian kids are left on their own to die, so they find a way to survive and progress on their own against the wishes of the westerners and their heartfelt prayers for them to fail. You can't spoon feed anyone into an adult. Generous westerners feed African kids, build water well for them, build schools, provide shelters, bride the elders and politicians and tribal elders to send black african kids to school. That is why they fail. The urge and the push to escape poverty doesn't come from the inside. It's all outwardly pushed and motivated and bribed to go to school with sweets, chocolates, balloons, flowers and rewards. The way one is taught, shown & brought up in his younger years affects the thoughts & way of life through his adult life. When a young child is shown that he would have to do nothing expect to become helpless & stay poor and all his needs will be provided by the citizens of the world in the forms of charities and aids. They grow up only to ask government assistance and reparations. Giving alms to beggars only encourages them to not help themselves. As freebies and aids in the form of housing, wells, schools, playgrounds, fooding, clothing, parks, play ground, capital to start business and factories ends when they actually improve their own lives and stand on their own feet. The world has done a favour to Asians. Thank you world. We owe you a lot.

Those kids are very lucky. They have gadgets. They can eat 3 times a day. Let's say more than 4 times a day. Literally, they can eat anything they wanted to eat. Delicious foods! They live in a comfortable house/comfortable place! Have a lot of appliances! Own an x box, computers, cellphone etc! But still complaining that they are very unlucky. Some of them even cursing their own parents. They don't even realize that they are very lucky. They own almost everything. They live in a comfortable environment unlike others. They can even study in school. A lot of kids worldwide are living in an extreme poverty. Some of them never use cellphone/computers because of poverty. A lot of them need to work at a very young age to support themselves. I hope that those young brats who are living in America/Europe could be enlightened someday. I hope those kids could change their attitudes/behaviors. They should not complained because they have comfortable lives unlike others.

Someday when I’m older, I’m going to travel to the worst parts of Africa and do everything I can possibly do to make the poor and starving kids lives better. I wouldn’t feel deserving to grow up in such a beautiful home without doing my part to give the same to others in need. Everything good and bad happening on this planet is on us, we are just as selfish and greedy as the people with the power to forcefully fix the problems, it’s us to blame, We allow people to go hungry, we allow drugs to ruin families and peoples life, we allow children to die of malnutrition and diseases, they knew pain before they even got to live, we let mothers and fathers struggle to raise their kids who are barely surviving. But worst of all we are all the collective cause of it all. We let people suffer, People get caught in the crossfire of war and other people's selfish problems people have created and then get justified as “normal”, but it’s just problems that we created. no one on this planet with the power to make change has decided to lead by example, that's including me and you and all of humanity. people just accept it because they know they are okay. We have a voice to say I think there's a better system for civilization then what we are doing, perhaps we work together instead of competing against one another. And just beyond the largest circle of freedom is a better way to live life where “no bad can be done” and justified as good, and evil will be so visible that it can’t hide amongst us any longer. I couldn’t tell you why we allow avoidable problems with bad consequences to continue to happen,the possibilities are endless. people only ever know what they were taught “knowledge is power but knowledge is also created”. I don’t see why we can't just be the ethical humane people we all like to say we are and help for the sake of living up to it for the sake of a humane humanity. We have currency to incentivize us to do better than everyone else but it also causes us to be unintentionally inhumane because someone else said it was okay. And use the very problem to try and fix the problem with the very thing that causes the problem in the first place, we could build a life far beyond what we can fathom as perfection. Build it for all who put in effort and good towards humanity as well as themselves. Why do we instead continue on the same old path even to this day all for what? so we can collect a paycheck and do better than everyone else and let the cycle continue. We grasp on to this idea that greed and personal desire will make it better and we should never do anything for free and on top of it people have this 50%\50% Demeanour. If you want to only ever be as ethical as someone else has justified for you that is okay (until we make a change that's what we have to do)also not everyone needs to care or look out for others, That's what freedom of choice is after all. I’m not trying to scrutinize us, that's because we only know what we are taught and told to be normal, in reality normal is whatever people say it is. I just want to point people in a direction where none of these bad things are issues. people could actually have a choice to choose how they live,actually make a difference in are lifetime. Anyone could choose to be free. The way I see it is we have our circle of freedom that the first leaders who started all the different countries across the globe, and now we are too caught up in the old way to see we don’t live in those ways anymore and anything we create and allow too happen will continue to happen until we say no more. People say life is a gift but it’s a competition we live in against our species. And we chose to continue doing it. I'm not trying to change every civilization, I just want people to have the choice in something humane and live having true freedom and be a crucial part of something built by us. All I’m trying to get at is that we can make life a gift and watch humanity as well as a civilization grow without limitations, something truly ethical without Limitations on how humane you can be to do good, something that will go far beyond peoples grasp of what a perfect and ethical life is, a collective group of people all going through the same reality who get a say and an option to choose how you live. We can't extinguish fire with gasoline and wood to put a fire out, just like we won’t solve all the poverty, hunger and insensitivities to do bad and be unintentionally unethical based on what some “guy” justified as normal. Problems won’t be fixed with what causes it in the first place because the problem will still be relevant. But that’s up to us to decide if you're with “all of humanity” and its development in every way, or for your own selfish gains. The rich paying for the poor is like robin hood stealing from the rich and giving it to the poor. This causes a couple of problems. This disincentiveses(punishes) the hard work and rewards laziness by giving the poor money they have not earned. This creates a very unstable society. Hence, the government should definitely help the poor, but not at the expense of the rich. Also. The government should help set up job fairs, where people can apply for jobs. Note: If the rich voluntarily give money to the poor, then I don't have a problem with that. Infact, more power to them. But, in my answer above, I am talking about the government taking that money by force. Rich people should be able to decide, of they want to donate their money or not, to whom they want to donate and how much they want to donate.

My childhood was like this. I was born poor becoz my parents were poor. But i can't be like that forever. Being born poor is not ur mistake but dieing poor is my mistake. I worked hard i done jobs like dish washing, cleaning drainage, catching dogs for municipality, every kind of jobs. Now i currently moved to UK i am working as software engineer. I will bring my parents here very soon. I belived in myself i worked hard. I see kids with their parents almost every weekend, and the kids crying because their parents can't afford to buy them toys because they have to buy food. I then watch these type of videos and I am pretty ashamed of some children. They beg for toys, these kids don't even have food, water and not good education. If you don't get the toy you want or something, just think of all the kids out there. Dying without food. Dying without water. I really cannot understand the snarky and uncaring comments here! I have been to Uganda and there are not a more industrious and kind people, especially in the face of the kind of poverty they endure. There are no jobs there and the minimum wage is $96 a year. Yes you heard right. You try to raise a family on that. Yes, education on birth control is one good answer, and it is being undertaken, but the country is already very crowded and poor...have a heart people, you come off like an entitled American, the kind that makes others look bad.

I totally concur with you. I have never been to Uganda however I might truly want to go there one day and embraces these little cuties, encourage them. I as of now value their valor to live in such circumstance. I realize that they don't have the decision yet despite the fact that they are living, they are grinning, they are playing with their companions and relatives. Shockingly they have not the opportunity to go to class, to have a decent instruction with the end goal to help their families yet most at this age they are demonstrating their mettle by working and convey cash at home to encourage their folks, that you folks won't have the capacity to complete one day. Rather than making a decision about these individuals, I believe that you all add to encourage these nations, particularly these kids who are bearing kid work at this age. I am extremely pitiful to see these sort of recordings. I might truly want to help them one day, not simply giving them some cash but rather helping them to get a decent training, to demonstrate to them the road of success through which they will have the capacity to encourage their families.

Education as an Antidote for Hunger Recently, the UN, and several related organizations, marked two significant dates: the World Food Day and the International Day for the Eradication of Poverty. International organizations for the poor and hungry have existed at least since the end of World War II, but neither poverty nor hunger have been eradicated. If anything, they have increased. What, then, are we doing wrong, and can we change the dismal reality? The problem is not lack of food; there is plenty of it. In fact, much of the food that is produced gets thrown away and pollutes the water and the ground rather than feeding hungry mouths. So people are hungry not for lack of food, but because there is no interest in helping people get it. The prevailing attitude is one of narcissism. We care only for ourselves and suspect everyone else’s intentions toward us. If we have any surplus funds, we use them to build walls and fences, not to help others. This is how we behave around the world as individuals and as nations. To quiet our conscience, we create organizations to tend to the poor and hungry. We fund them generously and appoint functionaries and bureaucrats to deal with the problem. But if our hearts were with the poor, we would not leave them in the hands of bureaucrats, just as we would not leave our children in the hands of social workers to see to their upbringing. We would see that the people we care about get what they need. Because we do not care, we appoint uncaring people who present plans for dealing with the spreading poverty and hunger, and announce special days to bring the problem to public awareness. They do not do a thing about the actual problems, but simply justify their bloated salaries through professionally designed presentations and verbose speeches that glorify their (nonexistent) achievements. If they truly wanted to solve the problem, which funds their lavish lifestyle, there would be many ways to do so. However, the surest way to lift people from poverty is education. First, there are technologies that can increase the yield of fields by multiple times through sophisticated irrigation systems, controlled environments, and other means. Farmers need to be taught how to use these technologies, and should be given the means to acquire them. This step alone would lift countless people out of hunger and poverty. Next, I think that organizations for eradication of poverty and hunger should use their budgets to buy lands where they will both grow crops for food that will be dedicated for the poor, and use some of the land to teach local farmers more efficient agriculture. Additionally, these centers for agriculture and education should be used in order to provide general education. It is well known that educated people have more opportunities in life, are generally better off, and can provide for themselves and their families better than uneducated people. Therefore, as a means to eradicate poverty and hunger, these centers should also provide general knowledge and education. Also, education should not be only about avoiding poverty. Poverty is not a personal matter, but a social one. Therefore, people who study at these education centers should also learn about solidarity, mutual responsibility, interdependence in today’s world, and other topics that will help them establish themselves as positive elements in a connected world. In this way, we can create an agrarian transformation that will become a social and cultural transformation that can free people not only from the grip of poverty and hunger, but integrate them in the global society of the 21st century as confident and positive individuals. In turn, these people will help others rise from poverty, and the process will gain momentum.
