Bless poor Lissy! Teething is tough! I've just read your blog post about trains and it makes me so furious! Definitely not looking forward to travelling alone in a chair :( I had forgotten that Accessorize exist! (I don't get out much) I must have a look as I always love their backpacks & hats!! xxx

She's been so brave with it! Usually, my train travel is ok - certainly not the level of difficulty lots of disabled people face. But for some reason, this one particular member of staff seems to think that my not booking assistance is an invitation for her to have a go at me. Accessorize has so many lovely pieces! I love their styles. Xx

I have the same issue of ending up tiptoeing on my KK chair footrest! So your solution worked? The services came up with an extra plate but it hasn't worked & made it too hard 2 get chair in my car. Going to show them your solution!! Thanks for sharing :) Urgh, book in advance doesn't fit well with needing to see how you feel does it. I'm Bham and usually they are great but occasional comments about not booking etc. On one occasion I was rushing back to a friend admitted to hospital and got told off on phone when I called ahead in the taxi, so I bluntly asked them if I should have some how predicted this?! But, lots of trips & mostly they are fab and very helpful at both Bham & Euston :) Ps she is adorable and the joy on your face when you talk to her is so sweet!

Agh! That's so frustrating. I bet yours is for the same reason as mine - that when it was ordered the cushion height wasn't considered. It's a solution that works, to a point. Unfortunately, I am having to keep switching between this and the original positioning to be able to use my FreeWheel. I've had it back in it's original position for a week because I needed to use my FreeWheel last Monday and haven't had a spare few minutes to put it back. So I've had to make do with wearing heels. My Dad and brother in Law are going to try to fashion some kind of foot plate on the single bar - that way I'll be able to keep the main foot plate in it's original position (to allow me to use my FreeWheel), and have the correct height of footplate that I need without all the messing around..I hope it's a good option for you! Ugh! That's so rude of them. I'm glad you stood up for yourself. I find Birmingham very good, but have no end of trouble at Euston, which is a shame as it makes travelling for hospital appointments stressful. Lissie is such a cutie! I love her so much. Xx
