"There's not enough quality to make a decent collection" - That's never stopped Blaze in the past.

Oh sadly we are all to aware of that.. they always seem quite proud of bring renowned crap games to Evercade though.. Sword of Sodan being a prime example.

Evercade is gonna have to raise the price of the collections to get some bigger names. I know a lot of people complain about it, but I wouldn’t mind paying more to get more great games.
@bjornh15279 ай бұрын
Fewer games is also ok by me as arcade carts goes.
@BecauseYNot9 ай бұрын
@@bjornh1527i completely agree. Some people want 20 games for $20. That’s fine for Atari but you can’t do that for big name arcade games. If we got a collection of 3-5 SEGA games for $30. That would be perfect

Shall we pay £50 for a evercade cart
@BecauseYNot9 ай бұрын
@@richard7645 if that’s what it takes. The collections need to cost more or have less games. Unfortunately, most people are not willing to budge on either. And then complain when the only collections releasing are not from major publishers.

That defeats the purpose of the Evercade. It's not meant to compete with Switch.

I´m starved for Arcade carts, I´d be happy for any of these! Psikyo has quite a few games famous among shoot´em up fans. They have released a couple of collections for other systems, I think Sengoku Blade is excellent. And regarding Jaleco, it´d be interesting if some of their early polygon games could be emulated. I´m open for pretty much anything for arcades, Nichibutsu, IGS... anything

It may not be an arcade collection, but I'd like to see an Activision collection that also includes Blizzard games, such as Blackthorne, The Lost Vikings and Rock n Roll Racing. It would also be great if it included Pitfall: The Mayan Adventure, as well as some games on Atari 2600, such as the first two Pitfall games and Kaboom.

A Visco Arcade Collection should be possible as there's already a collection out there on most platforms that includes Andro Dunos, Bang Bead, Captain Tomaday, FlipShot, Ganryu, Goal! Goal! Goal! and Neo DriftOut. There's also the awesome (imho) IGS Arcade Collection by International Game System which includes Knights of Valour: Super Heroes, Knights of Valour Plus and Knights of Valour 2: Nine Dragons; Oriental Legend and Oriental Legend: Spooky; The Gladiator, Martial Masters, and the eminent Demon Front. Konami would definitely be top of my wish list :-) Keep up the awesome work!

I have wondered why the likes of Sega, SNK and co haven't came to Evercade. It's probably because Evercade hasn't got enough pulling power, it's just not a big enough brand. The arcade collections that are on it like Data East and Techno's are still good one's but just not enough.
@depafeo9 ай бұрын
love my EXP, but I'm finding when I want to play something "new" I'll download a rom and play on my Anbernic. I will also shop the nintendo eshop sales for retro collections that scratch that itch. It's one of the issues I have with Evercade. It does feel like a drip when it comes to cart releases. I hope for a new cart release that will tickle my fancy and when they do announce one a lot of times I'm like "thanks but I'll pass"
@francescosmith78599 ай бұрын
Lots of good points and thoughts. I've also been surprised we haven't seen more Data East collections as there's lots of good stuff there. I'm also hoping Toaplan's not done and we'll get a third arcade cart with Outzone, Batsugin, Grind Stormer and Dogyuun. I had hopes Konami would do something after the Turbo16 mini console and had hopes for both their arcade games and some Turbografx stuff but they don't seem interested. We'll see what we get but what I really, really don't want are more Superpockets. Carts (or I would take digital content if that makes it easier) but no more separate handhelds please.

Great video as always. I'm at a point where I've kind of given up as last year was very disappointing for arcade. I expected an Irem 2 by now and a Data East 2. It wouldn't be as bad but it seems like they ignored some of the veryy best DE on collection 1

arcade collections are nice - but i'd rather have more indie's the quality of Alwa and Goodboy Galaxy
@goon13509 ай бұрын
The only reason why I bought into the Evercade is the fact that these games are licensed. So I assume that I'm playing the best ROM version of the game, directly from the publishers.
@obsoleteworlds9 ай бұрын
Maybe its just me but although I've bought most of them I haven't really found I play them much. Arcade is a weird thing, it has this allure of another time and place when this was unachievable at home. Now it is at home the flaws are much easier to see. The carny difficulty levels and the cheap gameplay. I dunno, maybe the home ports weren't so bad after all.
@CrazyBurger9 ай бұрын
The difficulty is way too high. They were never really designed for long plays in the comfort of your home.

Another interesting vid Mr Burger! I’m not even going to guess at what Blaze gives us, because they always want to surprise us! LOL! 🤣. I don’t think we will EVER see the likes of SEGA on Evercade! We only got CAPCOM as a part of a package, pre-built deal on an EXP! That was the only way Blaze could do it I guess? 🤔. This rings true because it foreshadowed BIG name companies. With the their side market venture of MINI POCKETS! So that is where we will see the likes of a SEGA. If it is ever possible?! 🤔. If this begins to happen. Would this lead people to abandon the Evercade, and jump ship?! If they are NOW. Actually getting what they really wanted?! 🤔. Maybe the Evercade would then go down as a failed, but enthusiastic experiment? 🤔. Still the BIGGEST thing for Blaze to now is to DELIVER on that ROADMAP!!! I mean NOW. 🙏. With a lot of NEW announcements on it. Types on it, and Mystery carts. They don’t have to tell us what games are on them. The most IMPORTANT thing is that it would send a CLEAR strong message as to their plan! Which hopefully gets everyone excited, for what is to come! 😁

Blaze needs to hire someone with a Roledex of people to call to get licensing deals done. SNK licenses their stuff everywhere, why isn’t there a collection on Evercade. Or get in touch with HAMSTER and license their arcade archives.

I was gonna ask why you were sure about Konami, but just having a dig (OK, read the Wikipedia article 😉), I didn’t realise how big they are, with fitness clubs, casinos, real estate and the world’s biggest trading card game. It turns over £1.4bn a year! Enough going on with the gaming assets they sit on and sweat already. I don’t think they need to be talking to companies like Evercade, sadly. Though it would be nice to be wrong about that and some of your other predictions!

Short of getting SNK, Sega, Capcom or Konami on board (for carts) I don't think we'll see many more arcade carts. With the way Blaze are promising something big, I'm hoping they've got one of them and we haven't seen anything as they're saving it for a showcase.

@@richardmullens4707 irem 2 would be amazing, and honestly I'm surprised it hasn't already happened. That said have you seen the Item collections released on main consoles? They seem a little pricey for what they offer, so maybe that's the issue. Fingers crossed Blaze do a showcase announcing a summer of arcade or some such.

We want to pay $20 for a physical cart/case/manual with six games on it. That leaves Blaze pennies per game to offer for rights. We’re only going to get games that are viewed as essentially worthless or (and this could be key) games that bring publicity to the series. This is why I have hope for Sega. If Sega really does want to come out with new versions of old ip, what better way to build interest than an Evercade cart with the old games on it. At least that’s what I’m hoping for.
@francescosmith78599 ай бұрын
that sounds like a good plan but unfortunately sounds much too smart for Sega. I love me some Sega and will hope this could happen but man they like to shoot themselves in the foot.
