Hello dream team ❤, what an interesting topic and I grew up wondering the same thing about the ratio of women vs men at church. Women being oMama bomthandazo, and involved in everything obaba not present. Another thing is the ratio of men in church for us single ladies who want to marry. Abekho o-brother 😅. Thank you guys for this instalment. I loved it 🥰

@@TheMakhsLol mara Mr Makhs re Teng Neh and church women with their "types" "looks" etc and if I don't fit in the category ke single until I go get someone from the same line of church outside mine, then they would look at you like you made sin 😅, can you advise them go re when do they let go of zoning us in the Brother zone and how do they make turn to see us as guys who wants to marry them before we go out there...

Someone once said "if you're too big to serve ;you're too small to lead" and guys we need y'all hey😊the church needs men who can submit,serve and lead
@joeadams4414 Жыл бұрын
This is a subject that is close to my heart. You guys hit some good points. We need to make community with men happen in church. We cannot emasculate them at the door. We need to stop having the women worshipping the pastor. What man wants to watch his wife serving and glorifying another man while he is present? Not only is that degrading to the husband who comes into church, but it's also idolatry. Pastors and male church leaders, worship Christ and serve others. Wash other men's feet by being willing to spend time with them and bear their burdens. And redefine what a man is by example. A REAL man is someone who has integrity, does what is right and is faithful when it's hard, when he doesn't want to and when it's not convenient.
@thatokholoane1655 Жыл бұрын
I love what Mr Makhs said. Our men in the church need to stand up and go and fish for other men. It can't always fall on the women. To add to your points, we also need to do away with this tendancy of putting Pastors or certain elders on a pedestal and honoring them more than other men. It makes a lot of men feel unappreciated and feel neglected.
@Tkapz Жыл бұрын
This is so true, we see pastor as the holiest of holiest lol Jewish and Islam actually put their men on a pedal, hence the you see alot of men in those religions, leading their families
@remimautjana5622 Жыл бұрын
Danko!... When my pastor said honor your husband's more than me, I felt it, he said my wife Honours me enough, when he said that to the congregation, things changed for better, we do honor them as parents in the Lord but I saw how women made their own husband/men more and as a man it changed my view in leadership.

We as men long for discipleship from other Godly men and thats one thing that lacks in the church. Hence we tend to run to the world on issues like how to be a husband, father or even just being a man, whereas we should be seeking what God says about us.

God presented as all grace and not a warrior and that can affect the way men see God. Never thought of that. Good point. And in church we sing love/worship songs lol

12:19 I really love that you presented God in this way. most of the time as men, this is the relationship we have with God because we seek Him most in these situations, war, struggle, sickness. So when the message of who God is stresses too much on the soft side, we struggle to find a connection with that sometimes. We need the God that brought down the walls of Jericho. We need the God that sent pestilence to the Egyptians to free the Israelites. We need to know of that God as we protect our families from physical and psychological threats.

#comeasyouare. This was beautiful I loved all the points 🙌🏾💕. Yesterday I came across this TikTok couple talking about women are mostly prayer warriors and it should be men who are prayer warriors than women because prayer is like going to war, men go to war. The husband mentioned that as a husband who is the head of his household he will never allow his wife to “out pray” him and he believes that’s how households should be.

#come_as_you_are .I really love that context that Mr Makhs brought to the conversation about broers breaking their hips and interestingly I always found the story of Jacob so wild. The broer was unstoppable and stiff-necked to say the least. However got backed him so much. For the longest time i have always wondered how the broers who are deep in the Lord relate with God, cz my perspective is so feminine you know. When im overwhelmed i be there weeping before the Lord and eish. So yeah these stories of men of valour in the bible need to be told more you know. The God who oepened up the earth and swallowed up disobedient families. Maybe, just maybe it would be relatable to the men.

I so much loved how you’ve addressed this very important topic. You crossed my mind today as I was catching up with my KZbin subscriptions and came across this video. I’ve been having conversations with my friends and colleagues on this topic for some time now. And you two have articulated the issues so well. We need men in the church. And the church definitely has a role to play because I feel that too much pressure is put on women e.g. the frequency of seminars for women/young girls is incomparable to those organized for men/young boys. Who is teaching the men/boys? I pray that the Lord transforms Christian men so that they can submit to Christ and lead according to his will. I don’t usually comment on KZbin videos but this has touched my heart. May God continue to bless you, your beautiful family, and your Ministry. Greetings from 🇹🇿.

Great topic. I think my addition and food for thought would be that my challenge with Men's ministry at my church was the generational Gap but that was a reflection of our Old leadership in age. And since the transition and a younger pastor taking over it has been revived and more relatable

What an interesting topic and so right, my grandfather did go to church but when he passed away my uncle took over but not at church at dropping my grandmother and fetching her, my dad also used to drop my mother off, i asked my partner the other day forgetting it is one of those longer service churches, he was so mad that we here for almost 4 hours ( a bit funny though), he never came with me again even though i told him its the normal service hours this time, so i honestly think most men just love touch and go's , i dont know just speculating i would also love to know.

Very interesting subject matter 👌🏼👌🏼thanks Mrs Makhs’ homegirl ❤ I agree with all your suggestions; mine is als Pastors shouldn’t be too pompous and expect our brothers and husbands to submit like runners to them, it turns men off.. one church I know, without excluding others that might be doing the same thing that I am not exposed to; HRM… Chloorkop, led by Ps Mathebula 👌🏼👌🏼👌🏼the pastor is a gent amongst majors, the men relate easily to him, their men’ conference they do‘boys’ things, not fluffy stuff and I realised that men churching elsewhere attends HRM men’s conference just because of the’men things’ they engage in. Other churches can take a pattern there since it is not close to every man. Thank you for this conversation family ❤❤
