16, 17, 70... beautiful at any age. This movie-- its story, its casting, direction, scenery, music-- all truly inspired. A gift to us all of any and all ages-- even if we see only one movie. Rest in peace, dear Charmian, our beautiful Liesl.

She stayed beautiful inside & out! So sorry she’s passed on. I’m so glad she had great memories with the making of that movie, life-long friendships & a successful interior design business, & family! Thank you, Charmian, for the joy of watching you in The Sound Of Music! ♥️✨💫

Such a wonderful human being, Charmian Carr. That smile, those eyes. Still there. All of her beauty is still there. When I first watched The Sound of Music, I definitely fell in love with both: Charmian Carr and Liesl.

The more I see of Charmian Carr on video, the more I realize how much of a sweetheart she is. She is so beautiful inside and out at any age. Unfortunately, people keep comparing her to Julie Andrews who doesn't seem to age at all. I too have bought "Forever Liesl" and am waiting for it from Amazon.

I was 5 years old when my father took my two older sisters and I to see this movie for the first time. The term "Blockbuster" had yet to be born, and it has been used lately but, you have no idea of what a Blockbuster really is, unless you had been there. The line to get into the theater went around the block several times. As the line moved, you would pass the person "behind" you several times until you made it into the lobby of the cinema, where you again waited for almost one entire hour for the movie to end, the people to leave, and you finally be allowed in, only to find out that all the seats were already taken, and you had to sit on the floor. Liesl was my first love. I fell in love with her from the moment I saw her beautiful blue eyes and wonderful smile. I saw the movie several times, I believe I must have broken some sort of a record for watching it. I saw it first, as I said it, at age five, and until the age of 25 I was still going to the movie theaters when they had special showings, usually around Christmas. Thank you Liesl, for all the wonderful memories. By the way... I still love you, and I am now 53 years old.

A lot of people lighten their hair as they age, as the grey grows in. It's usually a softer and more flattering look against aging skin, than solid dark hair.

Holy crap! Why does she look decades older than Julie Andrews? The light hair doesn't suit at all. Julie still looks great, and she was a grown woman in 1965. What happened to Charmian? I remember her as a teenager in ads back when I was a kid.
@blossom11410 жыл бұрын
Um, not everyone can be Julie Andrews, (and I'm pretty sure the great Ms. Andrews dyes her hair anyway. She's in her 70s). She's in her late 60s. She looks fine. Geez.
