Thanks! That Google Earth analysis was really interesting and might indeed help refine underwater searches! Before 21k y.a., Zealandia (recently found continent) might have been also above water. Would also like to point out that the exact amount of degrees of the great pyramid to the west there, the current satellite images seem to show some mounds underwater.

I have long speculated about the likelihood of past settlements and towns being submerged beyond our current coastlines. It makes perfect sense that people would have lived in at least some of those now submerged areas, especially at or near previous river mouths. Sea transport and agriculture would have been favoured in such areas for obvious reasons. It is likely that there must be some evidence left of previous habitation despite degradation by inundation, but odds are in favour of there being evidence of larger structures and some sort of organization still down there. The saying goes that we know more about the lunar surface than we do about the sea floor is true and the previous coastlines sitting at an average of 300 feet below current sea levels put whatever might be there, tantalisingly just out of reach. Thanks for your work. I will download the Google sea level app and dip my toe in to see what I can find. The Indonesia, South East Asian area looks promising.

Very good. Its going to be the non establishment or non corporate/government thinkers among us that make progress in this front.

The Black sea is of note. It would have been empty or a large lake below sea level. Prime pre-biblical region for settlements.

Good little video idea, one thing I will add is that no-one really takes into account how much land rose and sunk due to tectonic activity, this could skew the data somewhat. During some of the recent earthquakes in the far east the sea floor was lifted quite significantly, the point I am trying to make is that coastal communities may have been lifted above rising sea level, not only covered by them 😀

One of the things that undersea archaeologists need to look for, is the presence of inscriptions, or writing. Granted there is a tendency to seek the lower lands, climate wise. And to be successfully on the coast, it is imperative to have somewhat sophisticated sea travel capabilities, for fishing and trade. But to move up from a rudimentary civilization to an advanced one, there must be some form of writing, i.e. record keeping. Trading and farming on a large scale, requires this in a sophisticated society. But keep this in mind: trading would also take place on higher elevations, and the forms of 'inscription' would certainly follow. This means that today's archaeologists should be able to find some of these 'inscriptions' without going below the ocean's surface. If not, then it is quite likely that the period from Younger Dryas, until around 8000ya, would be the real age of development, which preceded classic ancient civilizations.

Good stuff. Thanks for telling me where to find that simulator, I've been wanting to use one. I live in Florida, and there are a few ancient sites off the coast. I remember a couple of guys who were looking at the ancient coast of the Black Sea, looking for Noah's house, as they called it. Malta. Graham Hancock wrote a huge book on the subject, and his personal experiences.

Hello Good Thinker! I really appreciate your approach. Analytical, open minded and using facts where they exist. What is your name? Do you have a west country of England connection? Really good work. Keep going. I am stunned that you do not already have at least 200,000 subscriptions. Your work deserves that.

Now live in Bristol. via Northamptonshire, Bath, my place of birth and Cheshire.Going to move to Spain or France as soon as I can need the Sun hours! Tried to sign up as a patron however could not see what each level represented. I was looking to do the $15 one and could not see any description. I will support as long as I can. Let me know! Keep smiling and believe in what you have achieved so far as long as you stay grounded you will succeed! Kind regards Chris@@ArchaeoLogic

There is a pre-Younger Dryas city off the western tip of Cuba 🇨🇺. I am highly suspect that the Rubbled artifacts found in South America describes a huge civilization before. With the oldest maps of Antarctica that show shoreline that are under the ice. Civilization and our past is NOT what we are taught . My question is this by mistake or by intention.

I think that one may narrow the search down quite a bit by following river channels down past their current mouths, Such is the case with the sunken city in the bay of Combat. It is on the old river channel under the sea.

What all variables did they put into there model? Did the count the water being locked into ice, and the larger equatorial bulge due to the weight of the ice on the poles? I think there was a lot more land than what is being shown in the model.

Follow the present day rivers out to sea. Some of them are quite spectacular and are not most ancient cities associated with coast and rivers?

Hello ArchaeoLogic, could you use your Blue Marble software to show what 130 ft higher of the current water line of the continents? The Glacier Ice sheets are disappearing right now, I know of the ocean levels are riseing one and a half inches a year now it is just a matter of time before coastal flooding will be a major problem world wide.........Please Help US!!!!
@ArchaeoLogic5 жыл бұрын
If you go to Floodmap.net you can simulate from 0m to 800m of sea level rise, it's a beta but it seems reasonable enough :) The BlueMarble simulation doesn't let you change any values, it just simulates the data from 21,000 years ago through to 1000 years in the future. I'm hoping we don't have to worry for a long time to come, but we just don't know yet!

Top find on the interactive Globe, utilising inundation maps. Graham Hancock was the first person, I have discovered who utilised inundation maps to corroborate his theories. In the book, 'Underworld' (worst book I've ever read (compilation-wise), & I'm a big GH fan) he proved the amount of cities actually submerged. Until I read that book, I had idea. I agreed with his postulations, in the book, as well as your vid. Great effort. Cheers. Guess we had global warming, even way back then :-)

3 steps and the time line. How long before the YD did human civilization exist ? Sea faring humans during this time line suggest global human trade. A mapped Antarctic coast line at least give support to human inhabitants on this local, when ? Time period of both the bombardment and flood give reason for cave dwelling humans. Perhaps there were hominids who lived along side us. In fact I would bet money on this. They became extinct along with other animals. This would explain the pyramids and I am not sure that humans even built them. You can not carbon date stone. So much more so little time.

Something to consider... we're changing one variable - the sea level. In fact some other shifts could also have occurred in the last 14K years. Islands could have lost their stability during earthquakes and drained in the sea. The earths plates could have adjusted swallowing island chains.
