Where Democrats Go After Biden

When it finally happened, it felt both inevitable, and unfathomable.
President Biden was out (www.nytimes.co...) of the 2024 presidential race.
Shortly after making that announcement, he threw his support behind his vice president, Kamala Harris, to be the next Democratic nominee.
Mr. Biden had finally fulfilled his promise to be a bridge to the next generation - albeit under enormous pressure.
Ms. Harris issued a statement later in the day, saying that she was honored to have received President Biden’s endorsement and that she intends to “earn and win” the nomination.
Today, in a special episode of The Run-Up, a top democratic donor discusses what ultimately toppled the Biden campaign and a colleague gives us an inside look at where Democrats go next.

When he was running the first time he said that he was going to be a one-term president so when he announced his candidacy for 2024 I was surprised because he said he wasn't going to run again. The odd thing is the Democratic party has really been blocking Bernie Sanders from being nominee. To this day Bernie Sanders has his mind intact and could wipe the floor with Trump.

Voters who changed from democrat to independent over the party's ideological capture by the radical edge will be listening intently to Kamala. Were her repetitive, nursery school speeches simply page holders to keep Joe in the spotlight? They made her look shallow and unimaginative. If they become more substantive, how left will they lean? Will she have the courage to co-opt certain Republican-associated policies that moderates lean toward, or will she double down on "progressive" stances?
