Scrapchat 106: 18th February 2024: Continuing the tearing down to find amazing scrap goodies! Plus, some yummy brass!
If you are new here, I can't currently commit to a regular livestream due to my daughters complex needs so I try to do a regular weekly scrap chat premier as a way of chatting and keeping in touch with you guys whilst showing what I've been up to during the week. I was away for over a year nursing my youngest who had cancer but he devastatingly passed away in December 2023. Life is very tough, grieving for a child is the worst pain imaginable, but I am determined to carry on for the others and find joy in the thigs I can, because life is short and my promise to Benny is that I am not going to waste it!! I need to have some stories to tell him when we are all back together again!! Many of you know that Benny wasn't my biological child, but I raised him and loved him as my own, he is my great nephew who I took on when my sister passed away, but I couldn't love or miss him any more than I do right now and I'll honour him for the rest of my life!
I also am a bodycam girl, it isn't for everyone, if you get dizzy or seasick them bodycam isn't for you! I've tried a tripod on my bench but it just isn't practical, I don't have the space, hopefully when I get my bigger workshop next year I can set up a tripod and lose the bodycam, but for now I work with what I've got!
I'm fully licenced for my area and ask prior permission for items inside skips and so far nobody has ever said no, they want the extra space :) I still do quick dives to avoid passing comments, especially as I'm usually out in the evening.
Some lovely people have asked to send me the odd gift, to avoid us both extra fees (shipping for you and forwarding address fees for me) I have, like many finally set up an Amazon wish list. Sometimes Amazon plays up and my address doesn't come up in other territories or with non amazon products. If this happens but you still want to get me something off of my list you can send me a friends and family PayPal and tell me what to purchase. You may have to work out the cost in other currencies. Hey Sollers! Check with your yard because mine takes the brass connectors as irony aluminium rather than shred. Makes a big difference when you take a big box full in 👍

Caught up on Sunday nite, as always interesting as usual. The grey plug you put in the vice has a little metal tab inside that lock the lugs in place, if you take a small flat head and bend the tab down on the interface side of the connector, they usually slide out pretty easy, might not be as fun as 'ommering on them tho!

ahh yeah understandable, room and space are most of the time an issue, sooo gotta scrap as much as possible and try to be tidy before the next "project" sometimes i just give myself some deadlines, but i used to pile it up wich is a newsence, lets say if the car is loaded, every single thing has to be done in three days i imagine, happy scrapping 😁

@@Hobbyscrapperaustralia me too. The downside is that there is only one bulk plastic bin and once it is full it is full, however, all the other waste goes to the powerplant so all is not lost 👍at least nothing goes to landfill in my local authority anymore🙂

You have to tidy up your shed so that everything has a system and there are garbage cans that you can use for your various collected metals 1 ton for copper 1 ton for aluminum 1 ton for metal 1 ton for silver 1 ton for engines 1 ton for gold contacts and pins 1 ton for cable scrap 1 ton for plastic 1 ton for plantine scrap 1 ton for PC mainboard If you did it like that it would look neater on you 🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩💅💪👍

Hi sollers, how r u I so sorry to bother you again. You told me once already. I want to get rid of my circuit boards 90% are laptops and lots of ram. I must have over 500 kgs of laptop motherboards. What was the company you sold them too. My shed was robbed for the scrap lucky for me majority was in the garage..

Oh I'm gutted for you, I hate thieving sc*mbags! I went to AWA in Essex but can only recommend an inperson visit but I'm saving my boards up to try a place in Kent as it is so much closer but I can't recommend as I haven't tried them yet.
