I use a Garrett Pro-pinpointer AT but I would be using an XP Mi-4 if I was given the choice. The Garrett doesn't work well if the hole you dig fills with water....which it often does.

Minelab Vanquish 440 or 540, switch on and go with no overly complicated settings to worry about.
