Sometimes you dont want to hear the truth because you've lived with your version of the truth for so long, you've accepted it as reality. So once the real truth comes out, you dont wanna believe that you've been so wrong for so long. It's not Dutch fault though cause that part of the business wasnt his expertise. But in the end, knowledge is power no matter what you do in life.

Imagine going to work for years under a contract. Your work has changed and put the company in a surplus; and you never get paid. Even all the start up money they used on you was nothing compared to the money they made off you is not debt, it's pure laziness to not acknowledge the work put in. If you were told to go make subs for an event and you subcontracted with a major sandwich company and your sandwiches made a bunch of money, yet the company that hired yall to work kept changing up top, they still owe you no matter how you look at it, if the one that got you the contract kept your money then you go after them simple.
@jman15620012 жыл бұрын
That's assuming you were in the green before you sold anything. See they could have been in debt and someone has to pay that debt that has incurred. In the record contract, that was not technically all un Rivera 64 million. So the label which has multi millions did not believe in investing in their project. So they write off thar previous debt and get a fraction of the money back and let the artist walk. Getting royalties for those few records was for fulfilling their contractual obligation thru un, not the label

The way the dude with the black hat just broke the way the major labels conduct business will probably be the most important breakdown you’ll hear throughout the whole interview drops. That ish was crazy hearing it. I had to go back and listen again to fully understand. Artist out hear never capture the gems. Go understand what that man just said and learn not only the music business but just business in general. You know the old saying “you never pay for what you know, you only pay for what you don’t know. Learn the business first. Before I go do anything I do my research. I don’t sign contracts unless I know that contract like I wrote it myself. Most artist complain and argue about contracts that has their signature on it bc they don’t understand the business but if you’d ask them if they were those same major companies would they do the same. They all would say yes! Bc it’s all business.
