A very diplomatic and gracious answer. The way I see it, it's very simple when reading the old and new testaments to come to the conclusion that the earth is young (slightly under 6000 years old). The rest comes down to faith. I used to care a lot about proving every detail of YEC but now I realize I have nothing to prove to anybody. The just shall live by faith. Amen.

What matters is young people in church are challenged with this in their schools, and we must have the answers for them at church

Believe the Bible. When it comes to creation, creation is a very physical reality so I think that the best way to interpret the creation account is in it's most literal sense and not allegorically or symbolically like prophecy or parables.

My friend brought me to the church where I was able to meet Jesus. I ask these questions and at first he had no answers. Then later came back to me with: Deuteronomy 29:29 KJVS The secret things belong unto the Lord our God: but those things which are revealed belong unto us and to our children for ever, that we may do all the words of this law. As you stated, it is most important to be saved. The rest we can find as we study and spend time with our Lord. Thanks for your teachings on so many subjects. God has certainly blessed your mind and heart Dr. Bernard.

I appreciate Rev. Bernard addressing a range of views. I would note two passages of scripture for reference. Romans 8:18-23 ESV - For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worth comparing with the glory that is to be revealed to us. For the creation waits with eager longing for the revealing of the sons of God. For the creation was subjected to futility, not willingly, but because of him who subjected it, in hope that the creation itself will be set free from its bondage to corruption and obtain the freedom of the glory of the children of God. For we know that the whole creation has been groaning together in the pains of childbirth until now. And not only the creation, but we ourselves, who have the firstfruits of the Spirit, groan inwardly as we wait eagerly for adoption as sons, the redemption of our bodies. Genesis 8:22 ESV - While the earth remains, seedtime and harvest, cold and heat, summer and winter, day and night, shall not cease.”

I want to know how you deal with emotions like anger. When Christians get upset about things, there are moments where we should be angry and sin not, but what does that actually look like? Can you give us an example of how you’ve dealt with anger? God bless you, brothers.

God reveals to us what is relevant, useful, and understandable. I think you explained it well. If one's faith can be shaken by dinosaurs, I am deeply saddened by that. Your idea that the Bible is right on so many things that the omission of something this unimportant serves only as a fun thought excercise.

If Jude had not referred to the book of Enoch in his epistle, I wouldn't either. But, doing so lends validity to it's content. It covers this topic somewhat, so, be prepared to be amazed and in awe in a journey beyond comprehension. In other words, hold on to your seat and soar through a time unimaginable and incomprehensive. I loved it even though I got bogged down and was left wondering about the wonders if it.

Many Christian’s are afraid to confront the illogical fallacies that are believed to be true by society. I don’t intend to hurt unbelievers or new believers but the truth is plain to see in the Scriptures only to those that are interested in digging them out. The earth is young, is not a flying at 66,600 mph (which completely contradicts physical laws). Every day of creation is expounded in other chapters of Scripture. New believers have to get their understanding renewed from government mandated schooling to Biblical teaching.

This video saddens me. "My people perish for lack of knowledge." (Hosea 4:6) I recommend the book Already Gone to those concerned about their children leaving the faith because they haven't been given adequate answers to the Creationism issue. Good websites that easily and effectively answer every question and problem mentioned in this episode: Answers In Genesis, Creation Ministries International, Is Genesis History, and numerous others. This issue does matter and is potentially salvational. If our young people cannot trust the first 11 chapters of Genesis (the story of creation, fossils, and the flood), they cannot trust Acts 2:38 and their need for a Savior. Genesis lays the foundation for why we need a Redeemer. Just as Jonah was in the belly of the sea creature for three literal days, the whole of creation happened in six literal days. In Exodus 20:11, when God gave the Ten Commandments, He explained that our seven-day week and the Sabbath are derived from the literal six-day Creation. I encourage everyone to hunger for this information, understand it, and teach it to the next generation.

The Bible is a lot like a movie in the following way: A movie is a fictional story told for the purpose of entertaining the audience. Yes, it can be fun to analyze a film and find all the things in it that are unrealistic and wouldn't actually happen, but if you overdo that, you miss the point, and the movie is no longer entertaining. Likewise, the Bible also has a primary function, and that is to teach us doctrines and theology. Yes, we can use certain passages to try and figure out certain scientific or historical ideas, but if we over-focus on that, we're going to miss the point and not learn theology or sound doctrine anymore.

You never get to the actual answer, you bring up more questions then you give answers to the first one. Can we get through a video where you don’t promote your books? Also good going on promoting others books too that we can go to instead of the Bible. I can’t help but think you’re just trying to sell your books and not really help people.
