Thanks so much for explaining this. There just seems to be so many cultural exchanges between the Middle East and Central Europe/Scandinavia around bread, pastries, etc. For myself, your work has shown me that there must have been elders who were looking at possible foreign influences and choosing those that fit what was already there. Some indigenous groups that I’m familiar with do the same.
